And I mean horrible, even worse than AC: Unity level of unplayable, the combat in the bog is just painful, not fun like it should be, I'm fighting with the control delay because of the stupid low framerate instead of the monsters, I can't time dodges and signs, everthing is CHOPPY, the game literally runs in low 20s there AT ALL TIMES, this is unplayable.

I could live with drops here and there (like it is in other parts of the game), but not constant slideshow.

PS. Being near fire is also medieval for the framerate.

They do indeed need to fix these frame drops, game becomes unplayable in many areas, especially ones where the frames should be constantly 30FPS.

The toughest thing to do right now is wait for a path so the game is constantly locked to 30FPS so the game is at least playable. It's hard to cause the game itself is brilliant, but these framerate issues really make it difficult to enjoy.

Only thing I can hope for is them not cheaping out a fix by lowering the resolution, or decreasing overall in-game quality, as there is no need for that. Yes the consoles aren't that impressive, though I have seen what can be done on the PS4 and there isn't an excuse. I' rather not upgrade my PC at this very moment as our dollar is absolute trash and PC hardware is beyond expensive, It's disgusting how much WE pay MORE than Americans.

Scratch first post, ENTIRE AREA around the bog is downright unplayable :/

I don't know if it's loading issues or what, but right now I even had LOADINGS during a dialogue in frame-rate low area (that farm with smoke coming out of their huts).

I go to novigrad everything's fine, areas very far from bog and its surroundings, fine, but for example bog vicinity, reardon (the quest with ... a friend) in its entirety was a messy low 20s experience through and through... :/

I don't care if they need to lower the visual fidelity to do it, all I want is a playable framerate. Might just return the game and wait until I can afford to upgrade my PC if the performance issues aren't solved.

And good luck with that Gaming RIG if you think you'll be going Ultra with 60FPS with the games current state, as the optimization ain't all that peachy on PC either.

Lower visuals? Nope.avi - 2015 there is no need of this, even if the 8th Gen consoles are weak. A few tweaks here, some coverups there. People won't recognize differences in particles and Alpha effects, but decrease overall graphical quality? Textures? Draw distance? You are going TOO far.

If anything they'll likely discuss a resolution change to 900p or some custom resolution similar to KILLZONE. As much as I prefer 1080p and 900p is absolute nonsense... if further optimization can be done and lowering... ...lower... ugh.. lower-ING the res... will keep frames LOCKED @30FPS... I suppose we'll just have to deal with it.

PC hardware is too expensive, and I'm waiting to see 300x series before I go blow any money away.

If they're not gonna improve it, after 40h of playing I think I had enough, will probably sell it and buy it for PC on some steam sale later in the future after upgrading PC, because this is killing the game for me. It's downright unplayable near the bogs, in rain, near smoke/fire, who tested this? Good thing I didn't purchase expansion packs yet, although I bought pre-paid psn cards already :/ ... oh well it's not gonna go to waste.

I love the game but the more I explore the more I feel like I'm ruining the experience with thinking "dat fckn framerate" instead "nice place/fight" etc.

I'm just literally sticking to White Orchard right now. I can't enjoy the game once you leave this area, the framerate drops are really starting to get on my bloody nerves.

At least I have some hope for a fix to actually LOCK the frames @30FPS - Unlike Unity which has never been fixed and Ubi completely abandoned the game. 24FPS Cinematic EXPURIENCE GUISE! Ubi, we know games!

Fred- try turning your system off and restarting. I found if i just suspend it i wasdnt getting rain drops either but shutting it down completely and reloading fixed the rain issue

I just got strong wind in my game, whenever dirts starts to fly framerate gets instantly killed. WTF is wrong with this ... ?

Is it Physx? I mean everytime I see smoke/dirt/fire/fog the game just runs in 20 fps... :/ If it's physx turn this sh*t off.

i hope they can improve it. especially in the bog. it is pretty awful in some places. i wonder if the xbox one suffers with the same effects and in the same locations. unfortunately for myself, i find the fps gets so bad when it rains in a lot of instances. especially in Novigrad that as soon as it starts ive gotten into the habit of meditating until the weather clears up. i do love the game though

This is weird, I haven't noticed a significantly worse framerate in the bog. It's lower than more open areas with less scenery, but not unplayable by any means. I'm on PS4 as well. Could it be an install issue? Version 1.01 for me.

Yup, I reached the mission the Ladies in the Wood - the games becomes unplayable in the swamp areas. For now I am taking a break until the framerate is improved. I might call sony and see if I can get a refund for the purchase.
