Same here, PS4. I started the game the first time just to have a first look into it, made the Intro, some quest etc. and then decided to start completly new, on another dificulty level. I deleted all Save Games and settings data from my PS4 and started completely new yesterday. After a few hours of playing it counts 19 hours, what just isnt possible when you start the game in the early evening and stop at midnigt...
No big thing for me, but it would be nice if it works properly soon, i like to know how much time i spent for a game...
EDIT: The other thing with the ingame clock, maybe theres also something wrong, sunrise at 3am? Doesnt feel so right...

Well for me instead, it's an important thing! I would like to know how much time I spend in a game like this! It's like a personal challenge, like " let's see how much time I can spend in White orchard before moving to the bigger continent!" 
I hope the reds see this and fix it with next patch!

Yes it's strange but this is no big problem for me. I see this like " We are in the northern kingdom and here the sun sets earlier"...Like midnight sun in Norway!
My understanding is, that in Poland the sun actually rises at 3 am. I'm in the U.S., and that sounds crazy to me, but considering that the Northern Kingdoms isn't in North America, or even on planet Earth for that matter, it's never been something that bothered me.
I would ask, if you're on PS4, do you ever suspend the game? I noticed that when I switched apps to watch Hulu plus, and suspended Witcher 3, that all the hours I spent watching on Hulu counted in the Hours played. So, if you're worried about the hours played getting padded...don't suspend Witcher 3. You have to close the game. If you go straight to rest mode while in the game, it'll suspend it too. So, if you put the PS4 into rest mode while running the game, those hours you're sleeping will count as well.

I think the opposite happened to me. It's saying I play less. When by my calculations I had 9 hours in, it said I had only 5 (I think).
