[PS4] Various bugs and performance issues

During cutscenes NPC's or Geralt himself will "float" when walking about, be it an NPC towards Geralt, or Geralt walking away. Once or twice an NPC has gone into T pose while moving, gliding across the screen.

Clouds will at times not even render in. Loading a previous save will fix, or not fix the issue. Restarting the game has the same effect. Loading a save that had this bug seems to remain, and loading a save where this bug was not present has more success of resolving.

White Orchard remains the only area in the game where the frames are consistent and remain @30FPS (Aside from cutscenes) Pop-ins also happens far, far less in this area. Once you leave Orchard the game is no longer consistently @30FPS. Some areas are much worse then others.

During cutscenes, usually specific ones that cover a large area have terrible pop-in.

Majority of the game after Orchard becomes unplayable due to frame issues. Loading a save, or restarting the game can resolve my game from literally dropping into the low 20's, making the game COMPLETELY unplayable. This, however is rare (The "FIX" that is, the game itself having frame issues is constant.

The first bug mention is actually quite humourus, though very distracting.

(EDIT POST doesn't seem to be functioning properly whatsoever)

Camera stutter and massive frame drops are constantly hindering the gaming experience. As I mentioned, certain areas are far worse then others. The game as it stands is more or less unplayable. The game struggles to maintain a playable, stable 30FPS and constantly dips. Camera stutter is also constant on horseback. Frames also tend to drop more frequently on horseback.

In villages, inside homes the framerate tends to drop drastically, and then smoothing itself out afterwards.

Have not come across any freezes or game crashes, yet. Although the game will at times hold up for a mere second or two.

The missing cloud bug also seems to be happening far more frequent. After talking to NPCs the clouds completely vanish.

When all bombs/potions have been used they stay in the inventory, or stay equipped, and unable to craft that same item until you remove/destroy said item.

I'm starting to think that Day 1 patch has done something negative to overall performance...

Disregard that last EDIT about potions/bombs, that's my own stupidity for not understanding a game mechanic. I would gladly edit that last bit out if the EDIT POST and SAVE function actually worked for me :/

Ive noticed this as well. White orchard performance is great. I had to go back there just to double check, but Velen is noticeably worse in framerate, even just walking through the woods. When there is a storm the FPS drop noticeable, and the swamp area is even worse. Really detracts from the experience, so much so that Im waiting to play until they can make the rest of the game play like the white orchard area

I've tried to cope with the frame issues, but being a PC gamer primarily, and being so sensitive to framerate drops I've also decided to hold off from playing until It's locked @30FPS.

It's not a case of 1080p resolution either, and people need to stop demanding for 900p. Frame drops occur in the most ridiculous places after White Orchard.

Whenever I exit the menu Geralt looks like he just came out of water. It's starting to get on my nerves.

Odd to say that I don't have the camera stutter a LOT of people have been reporting. My one and only issue is the fact that the game doesn't run @30FPS after White Orchard. Just unplayable in the current state, no idea how anything below that is passable. In most areas It's less, in others is just as horrible as AC: Unity, and that game is DREADFUL! Absolutely, positively, 110% unplayable.

I just stick to areas where the frames don't drop below 28fps which is the lowest I can tolerate. Anything lower then that, especially under 25 gives me a headache... I really want to ENJOY this GAME.

starting to encounter a few minor random bugs:
mini map occasionally shows some areas as giant black squares instead of the map.
had roach not show up at all no matter how often or where i went.
had sign posts vanish from my world map.
restarting the application fixed all of these.

sometimes combat sounds on sword swings don't occur.
sometimes roach glitches when trying to jump a fence.
Harpies fall from the sky and die when quick traveling to the harpy nest signpost in velen.
drowners continue to swim animation after they have exited the water.

none of that worries me, but: when collecting the griffin enhanced armour the treasure hunt quest didn't activate. when i got back to a armourer i found two pieces didn't end up registering, odds of finding those locations again to check if they are in the chests is....... well seriously i spent hours finding them.

Cloth bug

Every characters clothes fades in and out into sort of a camouflage pattern. Except instead of camoflague patterns it's black squares all over their bodies. This started happening when I first visited the bathhouse(no spoilers). And yes, as many of you, I also suffer from major FPS drops during rain/storms, or when in the swamps.

Likely to be a patch next week. PC is getting their end fixed up with improvements to graphics and optimization, as rightfully so. Expect some patch to roll out next week, or at least until SONY give the OK.
