[Quest Bug] Novigrad, Closed City

Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place - I didn't see a bug reports forum. Apparently I failed this quest without realizing it because it didn't move to my failed quests. I stumbled upon one of the bandits by accident and after picking up his key and the warrant off one of the witch hunters I killed, I tracked down the other 2 keys. But after reading the final letter about the treasure, the quest didn't continue. So I went to my quest log and it says I failed a step about tracking the scent of blood, though I don't remember ever being given that opportunity. If I failed this quest permanently, shouldn't it move out of my quest log? I just spent 20 minutes finding these keys for no reward

I also have this quest bugged. I met with the lady that tricks me into her house adn when I get the quest all the objectives say they're already completed. The quest just stays in my log =/

And one more thing, I failed 'the nobleman statuette'. But it's still in my active quests log.

Oh, same here haha. For some reason that quest popped up in my quest log after finishing Dijistra's main quest, with all the objectives already completed and so it just stuck to my active quest logs until the end of the game.

Same here. CDPR fix this.

So I just played this again in my second play, I somehow completed the quest. I dont even remember what happened at the first time. All blood and sewer things.. Might be about doing quest immediately or delaying it to later times? Just guessing..

I just realized that I hadnt read the warrant I completed the quest. With or without the following the scent of the blood.

So I went to my quest log and it says I failed a step about tracking the scent of blood, though I don't remember ever being given that opportunity. If I failed this quest permanently, shouldn't it move out of my quest log?

I dont think one objective can cause a failure to whole quest. I got lots of them. Maybe you're missing a detail.

Oddly, I completed this quest, but it only took about 2 minutes and there was no keys or anything involved.

Somebody whistled my name on a street corner, said they couldn't find their friend, said he smelled like sewer and booze, I followed the scent for about 30 seconds, then once I got to certain spot, I had a choice to help the downed Witch Hunter or let them do as they would. Either option ended the quest for me, with the first option to kill the 3 men.

Not the same quest, or?

This should be fixed in the upcoming 1.07 patch as CDPR mentioned many quest fixes will be involved in the said patch. Time to play The Witcher 3 again

There is actually no mention of it in the quest log and I've checked it extensively.
