Question About Philippa Eilhart (End Game Spoilers)

Over the course of the game, Geralt learns that Philippa is attempting to regrow her eyes. If I remember correctly, there's a mention of using precious stones or something to grow the tissue on. Is she 100% successful? She seemed to have regained her eye-sight during the quest for the Sun Stone, but during her altercation with Geralt in the Novigrad bathhouse, her aim was less than stellar. Is she using some type of magical spell to compensate for her blindness?

I'm also curious as to whether Philippa manages to successfully infiltrate the court of Nilfgaard. My epilogue didn't mention anything about her fate, but she told Geralt that was her next move.

In the books when Vilgefortz was regrowing an eye he transplanted the tissue from a precious stone into his eye socket, but it was still only partly grown back by the time he died. The new eye was small and strange looking, and was still not as good as his original eye. It could be that Philippa has similar partially-developed eyes underneath the blindfold, or perhaps she is still growing them at a new laboratory somewhere. In either case, she is using magic to "see" her surroundings because her new eyes are not ready.

I'm certain that Philippa will do very well for herself in the Empire. If Emyhr stays in power she can slowly work her way into his confidence and sabotage potential rivals. If Emyhr is deposed, she can rise up even faster by helping Voorhis to secure the throne for himself.

I think she was using magic to see. You can see her eye sockets glowing from under the bandana.

About the ending its kinda difficult to tell what happened to her.

Lets not forget that the lodge has been granted amnesty in Niflgaard except for Ida and Francesca I think because they refused to help Ciri.

So we have 4 scenarios I think:

- Niflgaard wins the war and Ciri becomes empress.

No more witch hunts and the Lodge is pretty much safe and sound.
Philippa can do whatever she wants and try to rise at the court.

- Nilggaard wins the war while Emhyr remains as the emperor.

No more witch hunts and the lodge is also safe. Philippa can try to become Emhyr´s advisor or infiltrate the court any other way.

- North wins the war and Emhyr dies.

North is not safe for the lodge at all and Nilfgaard is in turmoil but is still much safer place for the lodge than the north.
However, this might be a good opportunity for Philippa to seize the power while there is chaos.

- North wins the war and Ciri becomes empress

Lodge is pretty much safe in Nilfgaard.

Sorry to butt in on your topic, but is it only me who wanted a choice on whether to let her finish talking or cut her head off during the sunstone quest in the elven ruins.
she irritated me so much.
Also I cant be the only one who knew philippa was the owl that zoltan had. The moment I saw that owl I knew it had to be her.

During the sunstone quest, I was VERY SURPRISED that I could not react to her saying that she wants to get rid of Yen and lock her in a dungeon so that she could be the advisor.

Don't believe the lodge is at all safe in the long term in nilfgaard if emhyr is emperor.
Safer in a dijkstra's north I'd fancy.

Well that depends on how you look at it.

I think that Emhyr would stay true to his word and Djikstra hates Philippa. The rest of the sorceresses might be safe but definitely not her I think.

Like he did to Letho.
Dijkstra still loves Philippa, so I'd say she could win him over

It was a bit unusual that Geralt didn't have an option to respond in that instance ... but @Geragio's suggestion that you be able to kill her is a bit extreme. Wouldn't that defeat the entire purpose of the "Final Preparations" quest? Geralt is trying to assemble all of the sorceresses that he can in order to bolster their defenses. It would be counter-productive to start killing them off because they are talking smack.

Yeah definitely not killing her, but at least being like "What?! Watch your tongue! Remember who saved you from Djikstra...." or something like that.

Why would you say Djkistra still has feelings for her?, at most in reasons of state he said she was his inspiration. Anyone knows if philippa ever loved Djkistra? i readed all the books but i was never sure if that was the case, given that at the end she betrays him without doubt.

Yeah they both loved each other in their own way. I would compare it to the beginnings of Geralts and Yens relationshit. The main problem with them was that they could never tell with certain honesty from the depths of their heart that they loved each other in the natural way and not only because it was very beneficial for both of them. Fucking politics man, no wonder Geralt hates it so much. :D But yeah I believe that at one point they really loved each other, at least I'm pretty sure on Philippas part. But then a conflict of interests came in, they're both manipulators and politicians who first of all care about their own good so yeah... That kinda ruined it and to be honest I can't blame Philippa at all, Dijkstra would have done the same.
