Question for CDPRED

I always wanted to have a medallion like Geralt, but i missed the both collectors editions of Witcher 1 and 2.
And i want to ask you a question CDPR.
Is there going to be a witcher medallion avaliable to buy separately?
Oh not that flat one, i mean that 3D one, thanks.

It's possible, that a medallion is in TW3 Collectors Edition. Also CD Projekt RED knows about the wish after merchandise and they think about open up a witcher merchandise market after TW3 is released. But maybe they dont, it's just a consideration. I believe they said that on the Raptr Q&A.
You can ask them about a 3d image of the medallion and print it on a 3d printer though, if you can't wait. And sometimes they make contests where you can win a medallion. So, good luck!

I can't answer that, but I can give you a perfectly valid reason why someone would, and why the medallion should not become easily available.

It would devalue the Collectors edition and be an insult to those who purchase them.

n.b. of the hundreds of game boxes in my attic there isn't a single Collectors edition, fluff simply doesn't interest me. Although I suspect I will break this lifelong habit for TW3, for some reason I actually want to give CDPR more money than I would give to any other games company.

I want the medallion too btw.

You could always use the coin as a poor man's medallion

If it was reasonably priced, I'd buy one yeah.

Though Kudos makes a very fair point. If everyone could buy one outside a collectors edition, it'd devalue the CE.

But I've been hoping and saying since day one that they have to include a witchers medallion in the CE. In fact, I'd prefer to get a medallion from there, rather than buying it separately.

While the medallion is badass, i wouldn't use it as a necklace it's too bulky in my opinion. I would use it more like a key chain.

Maybe your point is that the medallion should only be available as a part of collector's edition. otherwise it won't be as special as it is right now.
anyway thanks for your reply. :)

well 3D medallion is different from the CE version of it... so it's different item and collectors can be happy for having a limited medallion in their hands.

Well no. I just don't see the point buying one. And I generally hate exchanging currency to useless crap. I'm happier with the money :3

I would love a medallion! I have enhanched edition of witcher 1 and collectors of witcher 2 but I haven't seen any medallion. Did I miss something or have people in other countries gotten medallions in their collectors boxes?

I hope that they add the medallion to the CE. I really wanted one in my TW2 CE or in my TW LE but since I'm a pc gamer I didn't get one. Xbox gamers were a little more lucky. They got a medallion in the dark edition. A flat one but still a medallion.

We are aware that The Witcher medallion is a very desired item among the community:)

At this moment the only way to obtain it, is to participate in our contests or try and track down a collector's edition of TW2 on Xbox or TW for PC.

We would love to start selling it (among other Witcher ietms of course) but for now I can't give you any details on when we would start doing so.

Please stay tuned.

P.S. I know we've been saying this for a while but please bear with us for for little longer.

Sorry, I voted no! Don't need any more junk in my house, come on folks, if CD wants to put some tokens in a box, fine, let them do it for PR reasons but buying it outright, heck no! Unless of course I get a role in the show "The Big Bang Theory" than I would wear it as a prop but I still would not buy it --- GROW UP, move out of your parents basement and get a life!

I love the games and will support them by buying their game/games.
