Question to devs regarding armor

Heya Red.

Been watching some streams while waiting for the game and two concerns has been bothering me.

1) Beer belly on armors.

Seems every armor gives Geralt some sort of beer belly. They are way to wide around the stomach and the armor all seem to bulge outwards. Is this a resolution issue, a mistake on your part or something you intended on purpose? (for realism or other reasons).

2) Armors all look bland, boring and ugly.

I know Witcher 3 world is closer to realism than other high fantasy genres but... man... not one armor I've seen looks good. Is this only the starting armor or did you purposely make the armors dull for the witcher 3 setting and world?

These are not major concerns but concerns none-the-less. It seem strange to me that everything I've seen about the Witcher 3 so far is so good, but armors failing to meet a decent standard. Just curious if you could chip in and let us know what the deal is :p

Sorry if I made offense, I'm just curious and I felt that being blunt about these questions would be more honest.

1) Armors usually do add padding, so this is as intended, and rightly so. But I don't agree that they add a beer belly, to me it just looks like armor padding. And I can't stand those skin tight armors in many rpg games, where the armor is just a texture or something like that.
2) To each their own. The armors I have seen so far in this game is some of the best looking armors in any game. Some look silly perhaps, but they have that realistic feel to it that I love. But from what I have seen I can't wait to equip a lot of these cool looking armors. Love the physics on the clothing too, looks amazing.

I agree with the good looking armors love them but my only complaint is it seems geralt can wear full plate armor and i thought that was like a no no for witchers

As I am reading the books, I can't remember them ever stating that Witchers can't wear plate armor. I think it is more with how plate armor limits their fighting style so they never use it. But Geralt is also a freaking beast, stronger than most oafish no-necks :p So as long as he can maintain his agile fighting style, I don't think he would refrain from adding some plate to his armor.
