Question: Why is Geralt sometimes buffed to 14 strength?

Question: Why is Geralt sometimes buffed to 14 strength?

I've encountered this several times now. When my opponent played Geralt he was buffed to 14 for no obvious reason. Anybody know what's going on here?

Yes, its Northern Realm faction ability. Any gold card played on board receives +2 buff
