Questions about the new cyberpunk

So, I understand this new world is going to be based on Cyberpunk 2020 which is based on Mirrorshades by Bruce Sterling and other works by William Gibson, short story collections. For those who are familiar with this world, I'd like some questions answered.

Please describe the world and major cities, Is there some sort of government? I see USA flag in the art CDPR released, is the USA still Ugh...political force with a strong influence? on wikipedia, there are some mentions of Kings?! Is monarchy back?

Are there any aliens in this world? (Please say no)

Also, did CDPR said something about E3 reveal? I didn't watch till the end of the conference.

Hmm... that's it for now, feel free to add to those questions. Do hope someone got some answers about this new universe CDPR working on.

No aliens. The EU is a distopian State, the USA is falling apart and struggling to survive, various corporate city states are on the rise. All sorts of confusion going on in Asia and the middle east (oddly enough not much on India), Australia has split in two, and from what I've read New Zealand is the last decent place to live, and the USSR never fell.

It'll be interesting to see how they handle (or don't handle) the retcon. I notice that the wikipedia article mentions that they retconned for German Unification in the paper game.

Presumably they're either going to have to make it a parallel universe, or change some of those "facts". Either approach is fine by me. They'll presumably also need to change the time period, since we're going to be pretty close to 2020 by the time it comes out.

I don't see us getting any official answers. At this stage, anything said would be subject to change anyway. But we're going to spend a couple of years speculating, aren't we
