It worked quite nicely, having Dandelion write in the journal, but I also love the style used in TW1, with Geralt himself writing things down. I hope they'll use either of those for quests in TW3. As for glossary and lore entries, however, I prefer a more encyclopaedic text, which was present in TW1, interspersed with unofficial information, rumours, or unconfirmed theories of some kind, taken from an actual in-game source. Reading quotes from books within the game to learn about the world and certain details therein did wonders for my ability to immerse myself in the world, and I was sad to see that much (if not most) of this was omitted in TW2. I'm hoping they'll bring that back.
