After this news Im thinking about picking up a boxed copy of the Enhanced Edition since I was thinking about Importing it when it first came out even though I already had the original edition. This kind of dedication to making a game the best experience ever is unheard of nowadays outside MMORPGs. Keep up the great work CDProject RED, hope the Witcher 2 will be on its way somedayxetelian said:Hopefully this will encourage more people to purchase this game, you deserve the sales.
So glad that is cleared up... I finally know for sure my copy is totally uncensored with the bloody works and all. Thanks for confirming any doubts I might have had.gamewidow said:any upgrades so far leave the game in whatever 'censored' mode it is already in -- so if you had an uncensored version, your upgrades would not 're-censor' it -- don't worry about thateace:
You're not the only one who feels that way. That's how it all ends up.darkcactus said:why do i feel like the band has left, and the kegs are floating ???
I had 1.4 on Vista and nothing worked right until I re-updated the same version. So do not worry, just update to the latest patches thus far, I think 1.5, and you will be fine.As for XP, game needs a bit more RAM or it crashes... if you know what I mean. Just update and all will be alright. I too had the same problems...ursinemajor said:If we already have 1.4, will this stop Vista from shutting the game down? Also has anyone had trouble running the game in XP? Whenever I got far into the game I always got stopped by the game being shutdown or jamming by Vista. Has the game been completely fixed now? Or should I just wait and bite the bullet and wait until 7 comes along?
Note: The Director’s Cut patch does not contain patch 1.5 features. You must apply both patches if you want both 1.5 and Director’s Cut features. Patches can be applied on version 1.4 (Enhanced Edition) in any order. And remember, the Director's Cut patch is only really applicable to those who have the North American version of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition.
Ah... So THAT's it's problem... maybe they should've told us that in advance. I think I had more than enough. I guess I was wrong. I'll have to check that. I have Vista and I just updated and it's still crashing... I may just have to update my RAM... IF I knew what type to get. I have 3 Gig of RAM... there's no need for me to get more. And if It requires me to get more then it can bite me. I'm not doing it for just one game. I have a NVIDIA 8800 GTS and I just updated the drivers. My monitor is a widescreen that can only go 1440x900 and my Processor is Quad Core with 2.49 Ghz processor engines. . I shouldn't be having that much trouble with the game should I?56236 said:I had 1.4 on Vista and nothing worked right until I re-updated the same version.
