Here's the "Help" as currently implemented
=========================================================================================
CyberDeck
- Name: Your deck. Flavour text.
- Speed: Shoul be between 1 and 5. Is used in every Netrunning roll
- Rating: The rating is the general power of the deck. On my personal system the next stats are all based on Rating (ranging 1-10), you could decide how is distributed at the start of each Netrun and the distribution is: Rating+1, Rating+1,Rating, Rating, Rating-1. This system is heavily based on Shadowrun's 5ed matrix rules. Its not yet implemented the possibility of changing distribution while doing the Netrun, but is planed, also you can have a Rating 10 deck and set Datawall to 1, the mentioned system would be implemented later if feels right.
- DataWall: For defense rolls against ICE and Antipersonel attacks.
- Intrusion: For sneaking into DataFortress levels and data.
- Detection: Used to look around for new access and hidden data.
- Evasion: To fool system attempts of tracing you
- AntiSystem: Want to damage the system you are on? This is your stat.
- Memory Units: Ye olde Memory Units. Storage for your paydata.
Data Fortress
- Name: DataFortress name. Flavour text.
- Nº of CPUs: Number of CPU's ranging from 1 to 7, this is the raw power of the system and also the number of levels deep the DataFortress will be. Is used as a character BODY to calculate total damage and boxes (10+CPU*2)
- IPv6: Flavour text. In an hypothetical "game" or "game aid" every DataFortress has his unique name and IPv6 so you can access it. This text is not editable yet, but not important for the run.
- DataWall: Defense (and attack) of the DataFortress. Used in all rolls and limits the damage output of the fortress. His level should be as high as the CPU's and up to 10.
- CodeGate: Defense (and tracing) of the DataFortress. Used in all roll and limits the trace output of the fortress. His level should be as low as 2 and as high as 10.
- Difficulty: Is the added value of everything in the fortress as (CPU*3)+DataWall+CodeGate-Damage Penalties
=========================================================================================
You start a new run and your options are:
Access level
Re-Route trace
I guess we're to assume we want to "Access level", but if I were to "Re-Route trace" would that give me access to the same or a different DataFortress?
##########
So we hit "Access level", now our options are:
Search access
Search Data
And we have some information:
Running CodeCracker_v6(Level_1, hack_key_seed_1)
Runner - Intrusión(28 ) vs DataFortress (23)
Access level 1 granted
Trace: 96%
Apparently someone ran "CodeCracker_v6" ... is this my attempt to access the fortress? Or am I being opposed by "CodeCracker_v6"? What is "CodeCracker_v6", no clue as it's not mentioned in the help file.
Apparently "Runner - Intrusión(28 ) vs DataFortress (23)" is my "Intrusión" vs the "DataWall" of the fortress, but since it's just called "DataFortress" that's just a guess.
OK, "Access level 1 granted", is this good enough to access any and all data in the fortress?
"Trace: 96%", does this indicate they have a 96% chance to trace me? Or I have a 96% chance to avoid a trace? What is a trace? In the help it says "Evasion: To fool system attempts of tracing you", do I need to run an evasion routine? How do I do that? Is it automatically run? And "CodeGate: Defense (and tracing) of the DataFortress. Used in all roll and limits the trace output of the fortress. His level should be as low as 2 and as high as 10." Well 96 certainly isn't between 2 and 10 so what, if anything, is the help telling me?
