Quick time events and insane difficulty

So I'm gunning for the Madmen achievement, would turning off "difficult qtes" effect this achievement ?
What does it do exactly, give more reaction time or turns some qtes off completely?

Turns some (but by no means all) QTEs off.

Most useful for the Kayran fight, where it turns off the QTEs for mounting and dismounting the tentacle.

Just did my insane run, having QTEs off does not affect the achievement.
Just a tip for any fellow achievement whores
