Radio Hosts Disopeared All Radio Stations

+
As the title suggests:( Radio Hosts in all of music channels disopeared. They used to make pause to speak about topics/weather etc and now nothing. Can't hear Mike or other hosts speak about varies things in-game that gave more immerisve feel. I booted up previous fully clocked base + PL save and still same. I also turned on "disable copyrighted music" on/off tried both and it didn't work. My game is not modded and never has been. Anyone else seeing same? And is anything being done to potentially fix such immerisve part of game. Thanks

Kind Regards

I wonder why. When has this issue started to happen? After the recent 2.13 update or before? Normally I would suggest you to send CDPR bug reports but they've been pretty much ignoring me and others' reports. Not in the way they haven't been responding, but their replies just don't seem willing to fix them anymore. I remember that during my 2.0-2.02 playthrough, sometimes the subtitle for radio host's speech would show up but the voice wouldn't play, if I happened to tune in to radio IN the middle of their speech. Is it anything like that?

Before and after the update. Just zero gone no radio host talking segments anywhere. :( it was such cool part of stations hearing each of breaktime from music segment talk about varies things like weather and corpo shares etc. Just added to immerison of world

You can report the issue here, for example:

This is CDPRs support website.

This has been raised as an issue quite a lot before the update. Something changed with 2.0 / around the release of Phantom Liberty. Although the host on Growl FM seems to work properly.

It’s a known bug. One of the many CDPR chose to ignore. It’s a shame. It added quite a bit to immersion, and anyone who only started playing after Phantom Liberty doesn’t even realize it’s missing.

I haven't had this bug during the early version and post PL version, but then again, I suppose I've been rather lucky with this game's bugs... other than occasional 'radio speech cuts' I mentioned along with other major ones. But still, if it's known and common, it should've been fixed a long time ago.

I posted a workaround video here (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY)*:

EDIT: In case you can't access Reddit, here's a screenshot:

*Note: you don’t have to flip between stations; you can also just turn a station on and off and on. You have to do this on a regular basis, though, as the DJ’s aren’t always talking.

So you still hear Stanley’s and Arif Iqbal’s occasional radio breaks post-2.0?

I heard all the radio hosts talking during occasional breaks, yeah. Stanley, Maximum Mike, Ash, etc. I think Ash from Growl FM talked more often than other hosts, but they all talked sometimes, still. I knew it was a thing before 2.0 and would've noticed right away and gotten annoyed if they all stopped talking. Guess I managed to dodge that bug  I wonder if it'll still be the same for me, when I play in the future.

Edit: @gnrldsppntmnt Oops, meant to reply but don't know if I can revert it

Mine doesnt even have that "No Track" segment "Stayed tuned for more music from me Maximum Mike" just cycles tunes. Thanks for trying to help with workaround but didn't seem to fix for me :(

This seems to be an awful lot of work just to get a basic function back. :( Such a shame. I enjoyed the DJ's and newsreadings a lot.

I get the feeling you misunderstood Step 3 - the bit in YELLOW.
"if it's still playing a music track, then check again later because it won't work this time" -
meaning, if you don't get "No Track", then you have to check again later.

Manage your expectations. Remember, DJ's are only on the radio SOME of the time. Which means you have to do this check on a regular basis.

It's not as if you can summon a DJ on-demand.

It's a daft ritual, for sure, but I wouldn't say it's an "awful lot of work". It's just a habit you have to get into that takes a few seconds.

Doesn't this mod fix this by chance?

You guys should test this for some time to be sure.

I had it installed while doing all the NCPD scanner hustles in Heywood, and it did nothing. Just music playing. Otherwise I would have recommended the mod myself.

EDIT: For future reference, this mod did randomly start working for me after finishing the prologue. I am still using it in 2.2.

Yeah and honestly it's not worth the effort to do this every time I get into a car. :) I'd rather CDPR would just fix it.

A man can dream.

They should fix it but, c'mon, the workaround requires virtually zero effort. Made a diagram to make it even clearer:
