Random crashes

The last week I had no problems. But the last two days the game crashed 2 times in 30 minutes and once today. I did a new windows 7 installation on my PC yesterday, because I had some problems. But the crashes still there. Hope they solve this issue as soon as possible (Nvidia or CDP).

I didnt say yet but i tried to change the config sayed in the post up here. But dont still working. ( Change sync and unlimited frames etc)

Ok guys! Thanks to everybody for feedback, for advices. I don't understand why we must solve bug troubles, why tech support don't answer anything!
Next... After crash w3, firefox crash too after changes tabs or smth like that. But on max settings i close everything and it didn't work. Someone try to medium settings and give feedback, then med settigs and close browsers.

the bugs just keep pile up, patches only casue more bugs.

Same problems here. Totally random CTD;s sound still plays have to close app via task manager and restart it. Tried pretty much every suggestion on the net without success so far.

Getting display driver stoped working and has recovered message every time it happens. Only have issues on Witcher no other game (BF3-4, all CoD's, Metro LL, Blizzard games, DA inquisition, Middle Earth shadows of Mordor and more)

My system:

i5 2500k (small oc to 4.0)
MSI 280X gaming
Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3
Kingston 8GB HyperX Genesis Limited Edition 1600MHz (Kit of 2)
Corsair Enthusiast Series 650W

Temperatures are fine gpu runs at @ 70 degress celcius on full load and cpu around 55-60

Another advice: make sure, the game is running in fullscreen.
For me this option resets itself every start of the game to borderless window - i've got more crashes with borderless window as with fullscreen and firefox closed.

Crush is bad enough, but I had hard crushs, as in the keyboard & mouse are completely frozen out. Only hard reset (using maunal button) of PC works. Thankfully I use SSD for boot, otherwise, I be super angry.

I want to share my experience, I've solved ALL my CTD problems making a bigger pagefile !!!! I've noticed that, at the moment of crash, it was full!!

I actually did that too, but I can't remember if I did it before or after I found the firefox (btw, it;s not just firefox, chrome does the same thing, did not try ie or opera). My recommendation, close browser and increase pagefile. I also reduced the voltage on my 970 but kept the oc (i used to do a lot of heavy bechmarking, and I forgot I had the voltage cranked up quite a bit even if it wasn't necesary)

The file use by Windows to manage Virtual Memory is called a pagefile. Usually Windows manages it automatically, but some programs can change that.

After a crash yesterday (after 15 minutes) I reduced the clock of my graphic card (chip and memory). I will testing it during the week and tell you approximately next week the results.

I want to try this solution with increasing pagefile but it's weird. On youtube videos people always have more in recommended than in use. On my computer I've got more in use that recommended. The problem is that Windows doesn't always manage it properly, so you're better off setting more than it recommends if you have the hard drive space.

OK! After patch 1.06 nothing change, after close all browsers, there's no change too. Try too boost virt memory.

Vairtual memory doesn't work, closing browsers doesn't work. setting doesn't work. WHERE'S FUCKIN FEEDBACK FROM DEVELOPERS OR TECH SUPPORT!

I've been putting off playing W3 properly because it seems to still have way too many issues. But it's been a while now, and a few patches. Kinda wondering when the game will reach a sufficient level of stability to make it worth while to play properly, rather than just doing play test runs. Maybe best to wait until it reaches version 2.0, or until more of the issue threads being reported start to be marked as "solved". The game looks really beautiful though, kinda makes me want to play it now, but at same time I don't want to start playing and put lots of time into the game, if i'm just going to end up running into a un-completeable bugged quest or a infinite loading screen.
