Sure, sounds awesome... watch for falling meat...For the sake of realism, I think the random event genereator should include suicides.
"Rather than face losing his job, a young Corporate throws himself out of the office window, 50 floors up... Police cordon off the area and after enough evidence is collected, the smear, (being all the lads remains,) are hosed away while the trauma team cart off the poor chap he landed on."
wow souds cool and would totally fit into Night CityFor the sake of realism, I think the random event genereator should include suicides.

Now, that's what i'm looking for about realism. Random events like murders, kidnappings, thefts, suicides, medical personnel trying to help the victims and police trying to stop these events. (sometimes, not always)For the sake of realism, I think the random event genereator should include suicides.

its ok....i forgive youAdding this to the forum guide...
Forgive me for not doing to sooner.
This sounds so awesome. Not that suicide is awesome but hey.For the sake of realism, I think the random event genereator should include suicides.

And lets not forget that we want to see it all in the scream sheets! This sounds so awesome. Not that suicide is awesome but hey.
The most important thing here for me is that the game feels like it's going on even if you're not playing. I don't want to be the only one in Night City who gets attacked by street gangs or such. Know what I mean?
True. What do you think about getting mission infos from the news? What I mean is, the player watches TV or hears radio and hears somewhere something is going on. Or maybe the police radio? Even if I'm no Cop, I might just go and take a look on a police raid going on somewhere. Maybe I can cause a bit of mayhem and come out with some cool equipment. Or with a bullet in my head. And lets not forget that we want to see it all in the scream sheets!
If I watch adude go psycho on a crowd, not only do I expect to be able to get involved, but I want to see it in the news within an hour.
You wouldn't be the first guy to get an illegal police scanner...True. What do you think about getting mission infos from the news? Yeah, i liked that part about the Fallout 3 the most. Whatever action you may take, you would hear it on radio after a while. And lets not forget that we want to see it all in the scream sheets!

The most similar thing I can think of is Commander Shepard being nosey about everyone's problems. It would come as heavily scripted, but I don't think it would be easy to have radio and news you come about to put an entry in your mission log.True. Could be awkward if it's vocally reported, unless theres a hefty quantity of 'AI' voice sampling done. The most similar thing I can think of is Commander Shepard being nosey about everyone's problems. First, where I said "easy" I meant "difficult". My, my, I'm having a weird day. And second, yeah, I see how all that would be cool, I see how it could be used to discover places to us... but if us being somewhere or having a job to do is important you bet we'll have a mission journal for that, unless it's clues as to how to solve a bigger "quest" (in the end you have to help the palyer organize the tasks and have reminders of goals in case he or she were to return to the game after a... "distraction") or to point us to the direction of secrets.Could be awkward if it's vocally reported, unless theres a hefty quantity of 'AI' voice sampling done.
And who says it needs a mission journal? How about you just plot it's location on your nav-map. Heck, Media's should be actively chasing after police responce teams to get the juicy stuff, hot off the street.
This. THIS! Imagine the possibilities. Maybe something like that will be an essential part of the Media's class. I guess I won't do Media on my first playthrough, but, just to know what can be done makes me want to start a new game for every class right away. I just hope CDPR does it right and separates the classes from each other appropriately. Nothing is worse than classes that are just different in their names.Could be awkward if it's vocally reported, unless theres a hefty quantity of 'AI' voice sampling done.

Hrm...EDIT: Speaking of the police scanner, it should not be a standard equipment, but a rare one instead...
With regards to the mission journal, I am sure we will get one in the form of a PDA thing. But I don't think that all the potential events should get added to it. If we hear something on the news/radio/polive channels, then we should head over there and make our own decisions. They should have nothign to do with the mission jounral.First, where I said "easy" I meant "difficult". My, my, I'm having a weird day. EDIT: Speaking of the police scanner, it should not be a standard equipment, but a rare one instead, one that you have to find first or that's very expensive on the black market. Then, once you have it, the police radio channel should be directly implemented into your ordinary radio. Like an additional channel.
I want a possibility to listen to radio channels (and police channel) while I'm walking anyway, not just when I'm drving/flying around). Like F3's PipBoy. But with more songs. Please.
