Rank bump when season changes

Why does my rank jump 2 points every time the season turns over? THIRD TIME IS HAPPENED!! You would think once you reach a rank that would be you rank until you do somthing to change that. An answer to this would be greatly appreciated.

That has been the case since January 2019. Players used to lose more ranks than that until March 2020, when the system was changed to:

Starting from the Season of the Bear players now lose less ranks at the start of a new season. From ranks 1 to 13 players lose now 2 ranks, from 14 to 23 1 rank, and 0 ranks from 25 to 30. As for Pro Rank players will now lose 3 ranks apart from the top 500 players

Nothing wrong with it.

Considering that every other game I've ever played starts you back at the bottom each season, this is one aspect of Gwent that is very generous. I much prefer only dropping 1-3 ranks each month over being reset to Rank 20-30.

Gotta say I kind of even miss de-ranking during seasons (you still keep your highest reached rank during that season for the season end rewards but you could drop down mosaic pieces in to lower ranks if you lose to much ) because it made reaching pro to easy and after losing you're final mosaic piece you practically enter casual mode with no punishment for further losses.
