Rare diagrams in chapter 1

So I recently started another playthrough of TW2 and I'm curious to know where to find real rare diagrams.

I talk about diagrams of the armor of the Wild Hunt, for example.

And no they are not removed from the game in the EE like wikia says. I actually found already two of them by myself: The armor and the trousers.
I know two locations to find those diagrams.

The asylum and the nekker cave. But I don’t where to find the others. And since there are 4 diagrams of the Wild Hunts armor I want to ask if anyone knows the other 2 locations. Or maybe there are even other locations for rare diagrams in other chapters.

The statement that the items were removed in the EE is incorrect. I wouldn't place too much faith in the wiki at wikia.com, it isn't the one supported by the community. In general, you're better using the one at http://witcher.gamepedia.com/

The overpowered armor and weapons, or their crafting diagrams, appear randomly in the game. There's no guarantee of getting them in any particular playthrough, and they may not appear at all.

Thanks for sharing the link.

But honestly there is no really helpful information either.
These diagrams are all to be found in the burned down hospital/ asylum, but if this is the case you can never get a full set of the Wild Hunts armor.

I found already 2 diagrams and wanted to know if anyone has experience in finding other rare diagrams in other locations besides the hospital and the nekker cave.:)

No, it is not the case that 'these diagrams "are" all to be found'. They may or may not be found. Many players never find them at all, or find different diagrams if they find any. I have never found any of them, in more than 12 Act I's, in which I always search the burned-out asylum diligently.

Sorry for my bad wording.

Anyway you need to be very patient to find one of those diagrams. It took me hours and hours to find them. You just have to play it again and again. There is a point where the game saves mostly right before the dungeon and from that point you have to try it. The loot changes every time you enter the hospital or nekker cave.
And by the way I found lots of diagrams of a couple of nice steel and silver swords.

I started at first place to find Caerme because I heard that you can find it in chapter I.

They are randomly appears in chests and other. As i know for sure you can find Dancer and Banshee sword. All other items - with different luck. I even know the mod.thats add that items to mysterious merchant. Also note that most of armor doesn`t even have textures or their textures replaced by Vrans armor. http://www.playground.ru/files/the_witcher_2_vse_novie_predmeti_ekkipirovki_v_rasshirennom_izdanii-57988/ p.s. Sorry its russian site.

Google Translator helps. :)

Thanks for sharing the link anyway, but I prefer to find them on my own. Though it's tough and time-consuming.

So you can find them really in any chest? I thought there were specific places for them.

Yes you can. But the chance is very very low. I could find only these two swords . Someone did find diagram for sword named Morag Bator , but he said it dropped in rendom occassion. There is 3 silver and 3 steel sword for each chapter . 18 in total plus armors. But as i said before the only worth to see is swords. Most of armor don`t even have textures.

Oh dear...

I looked them up and some of them just look marvelous. It's a shame they are so rare but it's really too much time to gather them all.
From my experience, and I looked speficially for the Wild Hunts armor, the chance of getting them is near 0,1%.

Maybe there are some places where the chance of getting them is increased?

Just found the diagram of Marag Bator! One of the best silver swords in the game. On around the 7th try.
It was in the chest in the building by the harbor of Flotsam.

The loot of the chest gets predefined just when you start the first chapter, if you want to find it too.

Strange thing the diagrams name changes in the english version to Draugs Confession since the name of the sword itself stays Marag Bator.
Besides there is already a swords which name is Draugs Confession:
