it get replaced super early, basically those import weapons and armor get replaced in the first chapter of the game. It's more of just a bragging rights thing.

Here's a topic about the different TW1 saves and their effects in TW2 if you are interested. ;)

I'm removing all of the duplicate posts regarding this, as it gets very confusing for anyone replying when the same topic is raised in multiple threads.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. But only in one thread, please :)

The two import items I will use throughout Act I are Raven's Armor and Moonblade. There are arguably better armors, but not so much better that it makes a big difference. You can't do much better for a silver sword in Act I.

If you didn't import Raven's Armor, craft the Hunter's Armor, which is somewhat better anyway.

The Mahakaman Rune Sihil, Aerondight, and lesser swords aren't worth continuing to use for long. They have sentimental value, so I'll store them rather than sell them, but they get replaced early.

Yeah sadly, it's shit and will be replaced by much superior armour maybe an hour in. Sad really. A bit of lore-gameplay dissonance right there. Ravens armour was supposed to be this mythic badass fucking armour. Then you find a tattered Temerian waistcoat or whatever and suddenly it's made utterly obsolete. Shitty design there but oh well...

Hopefully they'll improve on that aspect in TW3.

To be honest, the main reason I use Raven rather than Blue Stripes at the beginning is because I don't like the hooded armours.

Moonblade is, of course, wonderful, and the only thing that's actually valuable in an import, but I know a lot of people have Aerondight instead because of its significance in the first game. It's a shame that it doesn't last longer in TW2.

But Raven's armor was superior to the Blue Stripes armor. Or was Raven's armor different depending on which faction you chose in TW1?

can I see what the moonblade looks like in-W2? is it curved? I never see curved silvers swords.

No, you're right, Raven is better than Blue Stripes, but not by a huge factor. And it only needs to last until you get Hunter or Astrogarus.

@guipit - http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Moonblade#In_The_Witcher_2:_Assassins_of_Kings
In TW2 they kept the crook on the hilt, but the blade isn't curved.

My mod won't, as all I can do is swap between existing designs, and I don't think there are any curved witcher swords in the game. Someone working with the full toolkit may be able to.
