SO I was looking at the min specs for some of the new games and one for example was gtx1060 MINUMUM.

But then I see this:

HUH !!!!??? what the....

So if the 1060 is newer and belter specs WHY the hell is the 970 (that is what I have now) more expensive?
Could I REALLY sell my old 970 and use the $ to almost purchase the newer 1060? What am I missing here.

If this is true there is no reason for me to keep my 970 right? I mean I know I may still need to kick in $30 or so in this transaction but that is completely worth "upgrading" to a better GC IF that is really the truth of it all. Especially with todays GC being so dam expensive right now.

Edit: well I think I see why maybe, the prices shown are not up to date?

1. The 970 hasn't been produced in ages, so it's quantity is finite and limited. The people who would buy ay 970 REALLY want that particular card.

2. Prices are dropping quickly. The RTX 4000 series may come out in a few months, which will (should) drive the 3000 series prices down.
