Cyberpunk 2077 is in a Much Better State, But There Are Still Some Issues
First of all, I want to give credit where it's due. Cyberpunk 2077 has improved tremendously since launch. The gameplay, visuals, and overall experience are significantly better, and it's clear that a lot of work has gone into bringing the game to where it is today.
That said, after spending more time playing, I've still come across a number of bugs and technical issues that affect the experience. None of these are game-breaking on their own, but they're frequent enough to be worth mentioning.

Issues I've Encountered
- Random crashes – The game has crashed twice during my playthrough.
- Shadow texture glitches – In certain areas, shadows appear to have texture or rendering issues.
- NPCs clipping through each other – Pedestrians occasionally overlap or walk directly through one another.
- NPCs standing on railings – I've seen NPCs randomly standing or balancing on top of railings instead of using the sidewalk.
- NPCs clipping through vehicles – Sometimes pedestrians phase through moving or parked cars.
- Player vehicle collision/response issues – Occasionally, my own vehicle behaves strangely and seems to collide with or "hit" my character unexpectedly.
- Certain stairs are not fully walkable – There are a few staircases where the character can't walk up normally and has to jump instead.
- Loading screen stutter – Noticeable stuttering occurs during some loading screens.
- Microstuttering in parts of Night City – Some areas suffer from intermittent microstutters despite otherwise stable performance.
- NPCs blocking traffic – I've encountered NPCs randomly standing in the middle of roads, causing traffic to stop as if their AI has glitched.
- Floating food and drinks in restaurants – If NPCs panic and raise their hands while eating (for example, after the player causes violence nearby), their food and drinks remain floating in mid-air instead of reacting naturally.
- Player clipping through NPCs – In certain areas, my character can clip through NPCs. This doesn't happen everywhere, but I've encountered it multiple times.
- Player collision/hitbox issues with small objects – The player's collision or hitbox seems inconsistent around objects like glasses, bottles, and other small props, often causing awkward interactions.
- Further bugs encountered:
• Lighting issue: In certain areas, after exiting the map/menu, the game's lighting becomes incorrect until it refreshes. The scene appears visually broken, with lighting not rendering as expected.
• Sleep transition lighting bug: Whenever V goes to sleep, the screen fades to black as expected, but the radio's illuminated display/light remains visible for a short time before disappearing. The radio light does not fade out with the rest of the environment, making the transition look visually inconsistent.
• Jackie clips through the gates/doors while entering the Afterlife during the relevant story sequence instead of following the proper animation/path.
• NPC crowd glitch: Occasionally, groups of NPCs become glitched and remain crouched together in packs in public areas, even when there is no combat, threat, or apparent reason for them to be crouching
- Further bugs encountered:
• Road clipping: If V jumps off a motorcycle at high speed, V can clip through the road surface and briefly fall below the map before recovering or getting stuck.
• Invisible vehicle collision: While walking on the road, V was suddenly hit as if struck by a vehicle, but no vehicle was visible. It appeared as though an invisible car collided with the player.
• Driver AI behavior: Vehicle AI behaves oddly when V stands in front of traffic. Instead of reacting naturally, drivers may hesitate, stop indefinitely, make unrealistic movements, or behave inconsistently while trying to navigate around the player.
- V Glitched out: Happened once, V glitched out. They did not pull any weapon nor were able to perfom hacks, only thing they were capable of doing was driving. Loading the game fixed the issue.
