Also, I REALLY don't want to get spoiled, but quitting the internet is not an option. A smarter move that wouldn't require that is to just avoid gaming media for a few days.

The general rule is to not post spoilers of any kind. And, if you're sensitive to this kind of thing avoid dangerous territory like 4chan. And you'll be fine. If you stumble upon any pottentaily "sensitive" info, contact a mod.
Posting links or discussing the content of the leaked info is not allowed. Let's not encourage that so moderators don't have to play whack-a-mole all over again.

I made a similar post in the Interviews and Articles thread but not about this in particular,at least I do not think it was. I have ruined a few notable games I was really looking forward to in this same exact way. I could not stop reading,watching and searching for as much information possible. This is a very dangerous, walking on very thing ice type of behavior to have. Especially for something like Witcher 3.
Easier said than done or I wouldn't be here every single day or googling 'Witcher 3' using the past 24 hrs filter! The issue is all it takes is a few words or a single sentence and you have already gone too far. I ruined the ending to Bioshock 1 & Infinite and parts of Mass Effect 2 like this. I enjoy reading about games I enjoy/look forward to. I have really tried my damnedest to not read too much about W3. The 45 min behind closed doors previews, Some writers easily ruin story elements when certain details could be avoided or only alluded to,not directly in your face with no chance of anything being left to the imagination.
Hype is another aspect to the waiting game and the build up of our expectations which can lead to borderline destroying 'our favorite game/series' After reading this thread message,I am going to do everything in my power,although I am weak,damn you Witcher 3 :: Shakes hand in the air like an angry old man:: To not read anything else until release.

Be patient,slow down and just remember - The game is not as far away as it may seem. Impatience and curiosity is not worth ruining the game for yourself and others - Sadly, we all know how misery loves company or the fact there exists certain vindictive people who love nothing else but to spoil things for other people. Spoilers don't bother me as much as other people in this thread it seems.
But since we are talking about spoilers, are there people here who've read the "A song of ice and fire" books and can no longer enjoy the tv show? I'm just asking out of curiosity, since I've read the books myself and still enjoy myself when watching the TV series.

This leak is fucking atrocious! Sure, I got the materials, and check out stuff, and now I am ready to shell out even more money on TW3. But crap like this may hurt CDPR big time. Now there may be no frigging suspense at all for those of us who are ipatient. Anyway, I hope CDPR won't be hit too hard by this, and things will work out all right.
OK. I didnt read anytihig suggested in OP, but I feel already enough spoiled for what Ive seen from trailers and interviews.

I feel so sorry for the young lady who got her Google drive hacked. That or she set it to public. EIther way I feel for her as she could be in very hot water right now. If I came across this scenario I would have contacted the owner of the account or anybody else I could at CDPR and told them about it. SO sad..... I may have tried to get a lil bit of a kickback......say a free trip to Poland to meet CDPR and make them hire me as a floor sweeper..(just kidding I would have expected nothing in return). I feel I am avoiding the spoilers myself although I have already worked out in my head how I think it will end and I wonder how close I am??? Any way wish i could meet the bastard that spread this on the interwebz so I can spread his face on my fist. No good punk......
I don't understand the problem.
Games like AC2 were released on PC months after the console release and it wasn't a problem for me. It's always up to oneself if you want to spoil something for oneself or not.

In my view it's major stuff. I strongly recommend not giving in to temptation if you want to go in fresh. I admit I skimmed a bit to see the nature of the materials and then said, nope. Deleted it from my drive. I don't want to know this 8 months out. I feel bad for CDPR and I wonder what will happen to the young lady involved.
