Redanian Elite interaction

Scenario: The opponent plays a Redanian Elite (8 strength, 4 armor).

If I deal 12 damage to it (in example by using an Elven Swordmaster), will it die? Or will the +5 boost (from the armor breaking) be applied before the rest of my damage is applied?

If you kill it with one shot it is dead. Like if it's 8 STR and 1 Armor an Alzur's Thunder will kill it.

Correct, the effect only triggers if it survives the hit.
