Redania's Most Wanted...

How the hell are you supposed to give the crystal to Yennefer? I've read it's possible, Triss is gone, I don't want to give the crystal to Radovid. I've reloaded a dozen times trying to jigger quests this way and that to get the ability to give it to Yenn, but it never happens. The quest never gives me the option to take it to Yen no matter when I attempt to do it, if I just find the crystal and then keep it in my inventory without talking to Radovid I still never get a dialogue with Yenn about it.

maybe it depends on whether you have romance with her?

Figured out you can give it to her eventually, but you have to advance the plot to the point that she's about to leave for Kaer Morhen; not sure if you get any further chance to turn it in after leaving the area. Anyway, for future reference and because I've seen a lot of people asking about this quest:

To turn in to Yennefer, work your way through Redania's Most Wanted until you acquire the crystal and get the objective to tell Radovid of what you've learned. Do not give the crystal to the Witch Hunters outside. You then need to finish all the main quests involving Yennefer in Skellige as well as her secondary quest The Last Wish. Afterward she says she's leaving to report to the Emperor and then departing for Kaer Morhen; you get a chance to talk to her about the crystal once the dialogue is finished. I'm not sure if she sticks around after you leave the area, so again, I would advise making sure you have the crystal in your inventory before this point.

If you want to turn in to Triss, do NOT start her secondary quest A Matter of Life and Death (it's a yellow dialogue option asking her what she needs to talk to you about, or something to that effect). Instead pick the yellow dialogue option saying that Radovid has asked you to find Philippa. If you don't do this before starting any of her other quests, you may not get the chance to give her the crystal later.

Hopefully CDPR can polish this quest a little bit, because it's very confusing right now. People who complete Triss' secondary quests before Redania's Most Wanted won't get the chance to give her the crystal, and there's no clear indication via the quest prompts that you can actually give the crystal to Yennefer... at least there wasn't for me. Maybe Yenn's accessible after finishing her Skellige quests, but if you're a completionist I wouldn't risk it since she says she's leaving for Kaer Morhen.

Believe I gave it to her after doing her Last Wish quest.

I've read it's possible to take the crystal to Yen in both Kaer Trolde &/or Kaer Morhen.. that's what I'm hoping for at least because I didn't have the crystal on me after her Last Wish Quest. The strategy guide is pretty clear on the fact that main quest; Ugly Baby needs to be started, but secondary quest; Isle of Mist cannot be initiated in order to turn in the crystal to Yen. I'm within these parameters but can't find her at the Inn in Kaer Trolde - keeping' my fingers crossed there will be an option once I see her in Morhen. Hope its not another bug tho..

I give the crystal to Yen in Kaer Morhen, so you are safe.

But is there any difference in finishing the quest now and giving the crystal to radovid or waiting so long to progress to give it to yen apart from some lines of dialogue? does it have any impact?

The only difference that I know of is Radovid gave me some gold. Other than that I haven't noticed any other effects. The gold wasn't worth the smug look of satisfaction on Radovid's face. Hate that guy :)

Radovid does have some dialogue regarding Crystals at the beginning of the Reason of State quest if you brought them to him, I don't know if that impacts this quest in any other way however.

I told Radovid that Philippa is trying to get her sight back, but kept the crystal.

I send Triss away (the bxxch kept me a puppet-fool in TW2 - won't forgive her for that) and romanced Yen.
I'm in KM now, gathering friends and on my way to the IOM.

I still have the crystal, but Yen won't talk to me about it. Thats bullshit, I'm lvl 26, the game feels like its getting to its last quarter, and this buggy sxxt won't work. That messy crap is really starting to get annoying.

I'd like to know one thign from the people, who gave the crystal to Yennefer...

If you give it to yen, will there be then the quest completed for you with no single fail mark, like it is the case when you go to radovid, lie to him and keep the crystal?
Or will there be a red fail objective for not having brought the crystal to Triss, like it is the case vise versa, when you go to Triss, havign then a fail objective for not having brought it to yen....

thats currently the only thing that I want to know about this qurest, because when its possible to end the quest with no fail marks by giving thecrystal to Yennefer, then I'll reload my safe and do that,m because its definetely the most best option, better than keeping it and definetely better than giving it radovid...

But as completionist I absolutely can't stand these idiotic fail objectives for optional tasks, especialyl when the game doesnt show you all optional tasks, whats most likely here a bug and when the quest design is made like beign a forced upon guaranteed fail objective, what would be the only case where its accept to finish the quest with keeping it and lying to Radovid, because thats the only way how you finish this quest with no fail objetive, that I know and that works.
