I am sure that with RedKit will come the beginning of TRUE mods, like the creation kit for Skyrim. That means more script based mods, new weapons, and actual changes to the environment like textures, mapping, effects and more.

Red Kit for witcher 2 allowed players to create their own quests and small environments.

But..in Witcher 3, and open world game...how will that come into play?

Will we be able to create new areas and locations, quests and dynamic encounters to add on to the existing map? For example, adding a port city or a new island to Skellige.

Or would it be like Far Cry 4, where created maps are strictly separate?

Have we ever had any confirmation on this? Adding new quests to the existing game world seems pretty viable, but adding new locations and terrain seems a bit more uncertain.
