REDkit install error: Out of Memory

REDkit install error: Out of Memory

hi all

perhaps someone can help with this problem..

When trying to install REDkit the computer is in the last 10% of the installation and an error appears saying : Out of Memory.
After clicking OK the installer rolls back changes and exits.
I think it is running out of RAM during install?
The computer is running Win 7 64-bit with 12GB RAM.

REDkit goes through several phases when installing . Did it go through the exporting languages section ? I don`t think mods would interfere with anything REDkit related but you could try removing them just to be on the safe side if you have any installed .
How is your virtual memory set and what is it set to ?

thanks for taking the time to try to help.
No, it does not go through several phases, the error appears at about the last 10% of the installation itsself. I think always around the lipsyncing stuff, maybe?
Does virtual memory have something to do with page file, i think i disabled my page file ages ago?
maybe that plays a role here?

Well i`m no modder yet but was able to get an error free install of the REDkit going . Virtual memory or pagefile can act as an additional memory buffer for applications . The general rule of thumb for virtual memory is 1 1/2 times the amount of memory installed . So for 12 GB of memory the virtual memory allocation would be 18 GB or as windows would put it 18000 MB

bummed.
i tried everything and i cannot get past this error. have tried creating page files and and and.
the computer is not new and has not had a problem similar in the last 3-4 years. I hope in an update the issue will be fixed for me.

ok . There are several things that you can try .
Since I have a working edition of REDkit these would be the MD5 numbers for each part

Were you able to install the SQLite package http://sourceforge.net/projects/sqlite-dotnet2/files/SQLite%20for%20ADO.NET%202.0/1.0.66.0/ ? I installed it before installing the REDkit . When you try to install REDkit just uncheck the install SQLite box when the window pops up .
Another thing you can try is running a memory check using Memtest . http://www.memtest.org

thx for your patience and concern.
yes, i followed all the instructions as per the original post and have also checked the MD5 sums. There is no box to check when installing - i dont think i get to this point.
I guess the only hope now is that in a later version my problem will somehow be fixed?

How much free space do you have on your hard drive ? Did you run a memory module check ?
