REDkit suggestions

Hi everyone! I created this thread to make a place for all of us to share our suggestions and let CDPR know what we want.
Rules:
-Keep discussion to a minimum, try to keep this place with suggestions only.
-Understand the limits of the REDkit and the amount of work things will need.
-Make a nice format for your post, no text walls.
-Be friendly!

I'll start:
-I think the save button and the restore session button shouldn't be that close, many times I have tried saving and end up loading another level, the load world button could change place with the restore session.

-Pop-up windows whenever you wish to remove a layer/group, specially in things that wont be recovered like the world layer.

-Hot-keys, although I suppose they were already planned.

They're already working on fixing that.

Not a big deal but imho the 'load all' (scenes tab, right click on world icon) is not located consistent or let's say "intuitive".

Better choice would be in FIle menu where "Open World" is to be found.
(Maybe as an additional entry there; not removing it from scenes tab.)

Meanwhile I got used to it but its not very helpful for newcomers to REDkit, I think.

edit. there's "Tools" twice. In the top menu and as a tab on the right side. Somewhat confusing.

World tab entries could be moved to the properties tab (or a new properties menu point; when right clicking world icon in scenes tab).
So we would get rid of the world tab and could rename tools tab to world tab.

edit2: (always a good idea to make a backup of the ini files for yourself)

I think that "Load All" should be changed, too, but right now there is something you could do for more comfort in creating your level. Load your level and hit load all. If every group and layer you want to load is loaded, look into the scene panel and you should see "default". Write a name you like in there and hit the save button right beneath it.
From now on if you load your level, your groups and layers are loaded automatically.

You should maybe add another topic called "Redkit Questions". I answer questions in "General Discussion", "Redkit Bugs", "Technical Support" and "Tips & Tricks" and it would be much easier for me if people would understand where to ask their questions. I hope they would be able to understand it with a new topic much easier. :p

Benze, do you want me to make the thread? I can do another one.

Another suggestion;
-When you change to paint material,by default it chooses the default mapping type, this should be changed to none, so you wont accidentally mess up your already made mapping.

Not a thread, because that could get very confusing with all the different questions. A new subforum.

This topic should be enough :) Just use bold to point out your suggestions, thanks!

Add ability to use scriptBlock in Scene Editor without exiting the dialog afterwards
Fix crash in Script Editor when clicking Edit > Go to... (I am on Windows 8)

That one should be in Bugs section :) The rest will be noted down and considered ;) Thanks!

Add selection and copy-pasting in Quest Editor and Scene Editor.
Add ability to lock panels on the right-tab. Sometimes they just got messed up by accident when doing quick mouse moves.

A workaround for this is to go into the view menu, you can tick/untick options that appear on that right tab, I managed to unhook the 'Tools' tab from there, took me a while to work out how to get it back attached. Would be nice to be able to drag and drop it back on.

My suggestion from only a couple of days of playing around with the editor would be to have a 'save as' button. If I want a backup of the level I have to manually copy/paste it from within the folder rather than just being able to save it as a different name.

Run every window in a separate process (like Google Chrome) so that when the Mesh Editor crashes I don't loose all my changes. :D
