On February 5th, they're announcing a new, unrevealed project (most likely TW3). I doubt that they'll give us any news about REDKit anytime around that. They'll want the media to focus on that new project and REDKit would suffocate in the hype around it.hashim94 said:Wait for their announcement on February 5th.
You know what? i think we could hear about REDKIT with TW3, because think about this, if TW3 is running on the REDengine, then, despite the changes they made, the REDkit will probably and eventually work for making mods for TW3, or at least it will be the base version for a TW3 redkit.Aaden said:On February 5th, they're announcing a new, unrevealed project (most likely TW3). Unless they don't have the confidence in REDKit to stir some interest on its own. Then they could use the hype for the new project to promote REDKit.
We'll have to wait and see, but my bet is that we won't hear about REDKit until March - but then we might possibly get a release date and rather quick release in March or April (assuming the beta is going well).
If I remember correctly, that hidden message in the CP2077 trailer said something like "We think, you can guess what it is" or so. So I guess it's unlikely we'll see a AA(+) title, at least I wouldn't know what that might be.Chromie92 said:What if this unannounced project is one of their AA+ titles?
Any takers?
Those ratings are just business terms for how much money and effort a project takes (and maybe also how much revenue is expected, not sure though). So AAA+ is a big budget all-out project like Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, GTA and the likes - the really big games with huge marketing. AAA is your average big publisher game - Splinter Cell, Dead Space, The Witcher, etc.Adityathewarriorwithin said:I'm wondering how can the Redkit be AA+? well I don't know anything about that area so just asking. I would rather root for another short film like 52 and a half![]()
I'm hoping for this. For them to release adventures this far out, be it fan made or RED made, would be pretty damn awesome.nocny said:(GT)
AA+ just REDKit. And added to it will probably be one or two adventures made by REDKit beta-testers with the REDs support.
Yes I'm familiar with those terms, but I was surprised to find mod tools can be AA+ meaning they also take so much effortAaden said:Those ratings are just business terms for how much money and effort a project takes (and maybe also how much revenue is expected, not sure though). AA+ is considerably smaller, might be a side project or an expansion - or maybe even mod tools.
TL;DR: Those 'A' ratings are about costs, not about what exactly is being produced. AA+ might be mod tools.
No, if they plan to sell a mod-kit in any significant numbers, it got to be bundled with with something more substantive then two short modules.nocny said:(GT)

I don't think they plan to SELL the REDkit; I think it will be free to owners of TW2.pomor said:No, if they plan to sell a mod-kit in any significant numbers, it got to be bundled with with something more substantive then two short modules.
I mean, it worked with TW1 and its mod-kit, because it was free. And I don't think that AA+ of theirs is going to be another feebie
I agree. It would rub many people the wrong way, having to pay for modding tools. That why I don't believe in redkit being the said "AA+" project.Corylea said:I don't think they plan to SELL the REDkit; I think it will be free to owners of TW2.
