RedMod - What does this open to be edited / added to the game exactly?

I have considered getting into modding starting with this game. Love the game and see potential but not sure what I get access to exactly. Is it mainly for visual additions?

Just need a bit more details on where the boundaries are before a commit to learning a new skill just to learn the field isn't as open as I would have hoped. That and I play on the ps5 so I would need to get the PC version of the game.
