Related to the story characters

Greetings.

As soon as I've finished the Witcher 3 I've been really active to the forums, it's actually the first time that happens because when I finish games I'm simply like "That was good, but let's move on"

That did not happen with the Witcher 3, I've spend lots of hours doing every single side-quest, exploring the world and I've created a "connection" between me and the characters of the actual story. So, because I do not want you to get bored, and I doubt that if I try to describe the way I feel about this game anyone would understand or even read, I'll just say that it was an amazing game that affected me in every way possible, my mood, my sychology and other things.

Now, when the game ended, and I got the ending that Ciri, becomes a Witcher, which was amazing, but when the story finished I started feeling bad, not in the mood to keep playing the game, and not in the mood to play ANY game to be specific, that day (yesterday) from the moment that I've ended it I've been checking every single thread in this forum.

My point is that as soon as the game ends, the moment the game leaves you at Kaer Morhen you are alone. And there was an official reply from CD Projekt Red that they can't "just" add the characters or anything. Because it's not simple, and I get it.

But think about this: How about, when the game ends, everything stays as it is, though CD Projekt Red makes a DLC that would allow you to spend time with Ciri? Doesn't matter which ending you get, if you get the one that she becomes a Witcher, you (geralt) can spend time with her by doing a few witcher contracts together, like that would occur once per week or something and you'll be able to talk to her and while you're doing the contract interract with her, how she's been and all. I know that I might be asking much, but the game does feel empty and I feel bad knowing that I wont be able to meet any of the main characters, not even Triss/Yen.

I think you get my point. I'll stop typing and leave it to you, I'd like to hear your opinion about this, sorry if the thread got a little bit boring but I want you to understand.

I had the same issue but mostly because of the lack of character development & bland story in the last Act and the rushed epilogues / ending. I'd recommend GTA 5 that's what I tried out just for kicks one of these evenings and it does a great job at taking your mind off these issues until CDPR step in and do something along the lines of an Enhanced Edition.

I get it, the game was awesome, but I hope CDPR does something about it, because come on, I literally cried when the game ended, and I felt as if that was the only game that existed in the planet, then as soon as I saw the emptyness of Kaer Morhen, I felt even worse, and the fact that I couldn't even see any of the characters, cirir, yennefer, and interract with them made the whole thing even worse. I don't feel like playing the game again, not because I do not like it, but because it'll bring that feeling up when I manage to finish it again, I really hope they do something about it.

I'd like to hear others opinion too, what do you think about this issue, do you agree? Would you like to see a dlc in the future that would fix it? I truly prefer them "fixing" these problems in a patch, and I've found out that the 1.7 patch is going to be a major one, even bigger than 1.5

I hope that they'll consider our suggestions and do something about the game, I'm willing to throw all of my money for an enhanced edition, for real.

Yeah I am aware, I just hope that they're going to do something about it, at least in the near future, hoping for a few changes in 1.7.

Indeed we are, I just hope that CD Project Red has noticed us, in general, because there are lots of post, and huge ones about this issue, but god damn it man, I fell in love with the characters of the story, as if they were real, feel free to call me an addict, but it doesn't matter, it hit me pretty hard when I found out what's going on after the story ended, which literally messed with my mood for the following 3 days, believe it or not, this game is the only one that has affected me so much, I truly hope they do something in 1.7.

I'm 100% with you sir !
If you play on PC, Redkit (once released) should be able to do wonders to restore characters.
I wouldn't count on an update or dlc doing it though, judging by CDP comments until now

Yeah unfortunately I'm using the console version, PS4, it seems that nothing will change...

I totally agree with you,I enjoyed this game so much that it was really emotional to me in the end even tho I got the best possible ending I felt the world was empty without other characters especially in Kaer Morhen.

I feel ya, I just wish that something gets done in the future.

There are lots of threads like this one, and even more popular around, CDPR already knows about our concerns about this, sooo let's say that something might be done, but in the future, at least that's what I am hoping for.

I totaly agree with all of you after the games end i feel thery bad like the first time i broke up with a girl, cause i got really attached to Ciri,Yennefer and Triss and when at the end you stay alone without the girls arround it makes me thery thery sad. I've stoped to play other games and TW 3 to cause i can't stand the idea that i wont see then again. So please CDPR make a different ending where you cant stay with them like a family maybe in Kaer Morhen, go hunt with Ciri and spent days with Yenn/Triss. (sorry for bad English)

Yeah that's basically what I am suggesting, they can make a DLC in the near future that would allow you to spend time with Ciri, maybe doing contracts or meeting in a tavern and just talk random stuff, one that puts the girls (Triss/yen) in Kaer Morhen, the rest of the witchers etc.

That would seem reasonable, if they don't want to tweak the game, they can just make a DLC.

I know completely what you mean, it's been bugging me all week at work! I've never known a game to affect my actual mood, especially after it's finished..

I do feel though that an ammendment this size might possibly larger than just an update. If we show that it's something we might be willing to pay for and that enough people want, then it's something they have to consider surely?

I truly believe that it is a matter of priorities, rather than money. But there have been lots of threads about this, and CDPR are already aware soo all we gotta do is wait to find out.
