actually i really hoped that the game delay so they properly work on there game not like the witcher 2 that as much as i love that game it had many problem including in combat system which even in the enhanced edition also have problems too and i dont much care if wild hunt have any other problem exept in combat system.well hope the game whould be perfect so it even wont need enhanced edition.I Love You CD Project even that the games dont published in my country and it wasnt available in here i bought the the previous ones by steam by a lot of difficulty and more expensive!!!!cause i normally couldnt support you.

Bummer, this was the only game I was really looking forward to this year, although I'm sure Dark Souls 2 and Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes will be fun. On the bright side this gives me a bigger window to build my new rig. I've been planning it since December but I'm low of income and it takes me a looooong time to save for anything expensive.

It also gives nVidia a chance to get something beyond stopgap-Maxwell to market, and it gives the supply situation with high-end AMD cards a chance to ease. In the present supply-and-demand situation, waiting is good.

The bean counter on my one shoulder is saying "What will happen to CDPR's earnings if they're not selling the game in Q4 2014?" But the gamer on my other shoulder is saying

Well, Bioware are safe for now (except for the next mass effect), so TW3 has anything that Bethesda GS is doing now for 2015 in its sights, fits perfect with all the Skyrim comparisons/competitions, let them clash together and with Kingdom Come for 2015's RPG of the year.

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting....... Guess I will be waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting some more. Witcher 3 must be the best it can be and hopefully (bug) free when we take it out of the box and fire it up. I do understand really I do. Am I sad? Do I really have to answer..... I guess this means that I will have time to start the series all over again from Witcher 1 and 2 all over again. Maybe this time I will change some choices and sides....NAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Anyway I am faithful to CDP Red and I know that they have my best interests at heart. If I am going to say goodbye to the Witcher Franchise then it should be the best send off there could be. So bye all means take the time, make it right, and blow my freakin mind!!!!!!

Much love, MM65

The conspiracy theorist in me (and I don't believe a single conspiracy theory out there) is that they had trouble getting the game to run properly on the consoles the way they wanted to, given that the game was all but finished except optimization and bugs elimination, or perhaps that was an exaggeration?

What we saw in Watch Dogs recently is a definite disparity between the 2012 PC and the 2013-2014 PS4 versions. I am beginning to think that the the main reason for this is that CDPR didn't have enough time to master the new consoles and port the game over properly. Oh wait, they don't port per se, they develop separately for each......well, there you go.

Ok fine I understand the reasoning but this practice has to stop now. All these delays shouldn't be happening because I think companies should be sure about this stuff before they make release dates or whatever. We all love the Witcher but I still think this is going to affect them a little as the general public's interest will have waned a lot by that time.

I won't lie I'm disappointed and unreasonably pissed off but that won't change anything. I guess we won't be seeing anything until next year January..the announcement has made an exciting new year less exciting.

I bet we're still getting big news this month or the next, the delay is just a few months, I doubt we will have to wait for E3 for something.

It's not really a conspiracy, it's a very valid point. I have never seen the hype killed for a game with the release of a trailer as we have seen with Watch Dogs last week. The amount of negative reactions I have read after that trailer hit was staggering.

I reaaaaalllyyy hope that's not the case here but I am really worried about the amount of juice developers can squeeze out of these "next-gen" consoles.

I wonder how many of those Duke Nukem Forever won. More than what it won after the release I'm pretty sure.

So what you're saying is...
3-4 months delay from actual date and 11 years of development hell are comparable?

cause I'm not sure what you're implying.

Actually, given how much they want to achieve with TW3 (open world filled with good stuff, a complex story, and a crapload of other things) I never believed they would be able to finish up everything in 2014, at least not without compromising of quality and quantity. I am glad they decided not to chaise some release date, may be take some heat from their shareholders, but take their time and follow their vision of the perfect TW3. All this technical crap, consoles-shmonsoles, is so secondary comparative to an enormous work required for a perfect and genre-redefining RPG TW3 aspires to be that I doubt it would ever be the main reason.

That's a shame, really; was looking forward to it a lot, my most anticipated game 2014. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was the right decision - especially since it's not one any developer would take lightly, if only because it costs money. ;-)

And to everybody who already bought a new PC for TW3: sorry guys, but that's just kinda ... overly optimistic. If you plan to upgrade for a specific game you do it as close to release as possible. Even if TW3 would be released by the end of 2014 I bet you there'd be better hardware available than now and the one you bought will be cheaper.

I completely agree with everything you said. I don't disagree with the delay at all. If they need the extra time to make this amazing game I am all for it. The only thing I am trying to say is.....we have seen some graphical benchmarks in the trailers so far. The game looks amazing. I hope that the extra time means the game will look like that or close to it.

Anyways, no point speculating and getting into these discussions until we actually see this game running on these consoles, hopefully at E3. At this point, it's all just speculation.
