Yep I'll have to wait till may to play because of that, but It'll be worth it.The only thing that sucks is that February is also the beginning of the semester

Hmmm....you do make a lot of sense for someone from "the internet". I have faith in that sexy red engine of theirs. That's because they are underpowered....anyway
Let's not forget that despite the hardware The Witcher 2 was heralded as an amazing looking game even on the 360 and that was PowerPC architecture.
This time all 3 platforms are on the same architecture(x86) which makes things easier. Even if they will have to scale down a few things, I have little doubt that it won't look stunning even on consoles.
Just my 2 cents obviously...
(and Titanfall looks crappy even on PC)
They shouldn't divert any attention off TW3, they are already busy with Cyberpunk as well.Very sad to read, but I think it is better to wait and get some perfect made experience than hurry and rollout a short cartful of horrible bugs that destroys the witcher universes - and CDProjects - great reputation whithin a week! I still remember the horrible Gothic tragedy...
...BUT...!!!
... What about some bigger MOD / extra chapter for TW2EE to keep the waiting people happy? (the little fanmade mods are only some ballancing things or texture tunings, nothing with a real story!
The TW2EE system is working, bugs are fixed, all you need is a story and a small team which builds it along the TW3 long term project. What about it, CD Project?
It's just knee-jerk because of this whole current Watch_Dogs shit. Not to mention that I'll go out on a presumptuous limb here & say that ALOT of people that are looking forward to TW3 probably have either only played 2, or not even played the Series at all, they're just looking for the 'best looking game' for their new consoles & of course 'Open-World' has this magic appeal these days (Casual appeal after Skyrim I guess)... So they don't really know CDPR, how they do business & what they're like. They just hear 'Delay' & assume it's bad, many of these folk probably thought the game would be out before late Q4, the sensible people (Most of the folk here) know that a CDPR delay can only be good & really we're only waiting another few months extra since it was always going to be really late 2014.Need to mention that reactions to these news are very frustrating. I'm not talking about this forum but in general. People freaking out for no reason.
The reactions are normal, considering the fact that we are following this game closely for like one year or more but people (including me) are also wishing them best of luck and understand their decision so it's not something I would call "Freaking Out".Need to mention that reactions to these news are very frustrating. It is a good point. My PC is 4 years old already, and I usually buy a new one after 5 years. So sometime around Black Friday 2014 I'll get a new one, and will play TW3 on PC in all its glory. By that time we'll know recommended specs for sure. Also you don't have to waste money on hardware upgrades to early this year and buy them on sale before christamas![]()
I'm really hoping we see 20nm Maxwell GPU's by that time... But who knows, everything to do with the next Gen of GPU's & 20nm is kinda up in the air atm. I usually follow all that stuff pretty closely but even I don't know what the heck is going on.It is a good point. My PC is 4 years old already, and I usually buy a new one after 5 years. The first sign of hope is the NV May announcements that happen....otherwiseI'm really hoping we see 20nm Maxwell GPU's by that time... I wonder if I should start looking at Broadwell instead of Haswell at this rate as well. Although I really need a new PC tbh. After my GPU burned out my PC turned into a internet browser machine. It also gives nVidia a chance to get something beyond stopgap-Maxwell to market, and it gives the supply situation with high-end AMD cards a chance to ease. In the present supply-and-demand situation, waiting is good.
The bean counter on my one shoulder is saying "What will happen to CDPR's earnings if they're not selling the game in Q4 2014?" But the gamer on my other shoulder is saying

Hard to say. Broadwell should be a big improvement, but adoption is not just a no-brainer.I wonder if I should start looking at Broadwell instead of Haswell at this rate as well. Although I really need a new PC tbh. After my GPU burned out my PC turned into a internet browser machine.
