rendering.ini and gameplay.ini no influence on game in 1.05 ?

i tried tweaking the two rendering.ini files and the gameplay.ini.

any changes did not affect the game.

in the end i deleted these three files to have them recreated.

interestingly the game did not recreate these files, and does not seem to need or use them ?!

i have the same fps and graphics without these 3 files in 1.05.

is it possible CDPR integrated these ini settings now somewhere deep in the game files so we cannot change them and they are just there from older versions but are not used anymore ?

only the user.settings file is recreated and has influence on the game for me.

i was wondering for quite some time why they have 2 or 3 ini files with the same settings in them and why the user.settings file includes the most important ini settings in itself. looks like only the user.settings file settings are really used.

Those are the default files used to generate new user.settings, so they shouldn't have any impact on the game if you have a valid user.settings already. Anything not in user.settings from those usually means its currently the default value, so you add it with a changed value to the appropriate section. Verify with GOG Galaxy (or steam if you got it there) should restore the default files you deleted.
