Request: Geralt retexture

I posted this in the mod requests thread before I realized that was probably the wrong place.... :-[I'm artistically handicapped--can't draw or photoshop worth a damn--and so I'm requesting help. Can anyone do a Geralt retexture for me? I would like the scars on his face to be faded, as if they'd healed long ago, and no longer red. Right now the scars dominate his face and I don't like the look. If you could turn his beard white to match his hair that would be very cool too. He looks good now, but I'd like to see something slightly less brutal. Thanks in advance...let me know how I can help.T.

I don't really do much in the way of texturing... However, I am a photographer so I'm used to retouching peoples' faces. If someone tells me where I need to look for the facial textures, I can give it a try.

Geralt's face is witch1_g1.dds, I believe. I know there are plug-ins for Photoshop to handle dds files, but I don't know anything more than that. There are threads on this forum that address the topic, though, and other people have done retextures and might be able to provide more info. Thanks for being willing to give it a try!

Well I finished, give it a try and see how you like it. Heres the link: http://rapidshare.com/files/116143305/FadedScars.rar.htmlI'm sorry to say I can't find a way to recolor the beard white that doesn't look really, REALLY crappy. So this is just the scars.

Thanks so much! Fading the scars, especially the big one over his eye, really does make his face look more balanced. I appreciate you doing the work for me!

;D You're welcome. My first time editing a texture for a game... That was something new. I'm glad it works, and I'm glad you like it.
