Retail v2.0 to Steam key???

I bought the retail 2.0 version of the Witcher 2 which does not allow for either gog or steam redemption. i have both other games on Steam. Was wondering if i could maybe get in contact with an admin and work something out in terms of a steam key? happy to provide whatever evidence of ownership necessary :)

The retail version can be used to get a Gog redemption: https://www.gog.com/witcher/backup

There's no Steam redemption though.

Contact Gog support, and be prepared to show proof of purchase to them. There was a short period when some through one particular distributor didn't have CD keys, and they have processes to handle it, as long as it is a legitimate purchase.

(PS: They may be a little slow in replying, as it's the holiday season and they have sales on. As long as you get an acknowlegement of the support ticket, just be patient)

However, if all of this makes you suspect that you may NOT have got a legitimate copy, for example if you bought from somewhere suspect. or second-hand, you should probably be looking for a refund from whoever sold you it or go back to them and ask for the key that came with it. The ones without keys were only for a short period of time, only in certain locations, and it's a little surprising that there are still some out there on a first-time sale.

(PPS - It's around US$2 at Steam today)
