I have loved The Witcher 1, and bought the Collector's Edition for PC back then, on launch.
For that love I got the Collector's Edition of The Witcher 2 on launch and reviewed it on JAVS.it, a small italian community made from some people, including some reviewers from EuroGamer.it, while at the same time, that friend of mine was reviewing it for EuroGamer, and I was stunned.
Becouse of that the Dark Edition had to be mine, and I've got it preordered, and while I'll receive it on the 17th here in Italy, yesterday CDProjekt RED really left me without words..
I just got back from work after a very long day in the office dealing with the USA about an upcoming exhibition and there it came their email, totally unexpected, I even had kinda forgot about it, telling that I convinced them that I should be among the ones to review The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition!
It might sound strange to some people, but feeling that kind of deep respect for people you don't know which are able to engage your emotion in such a compelling world taken from Sapkowski's books which I've LOVED, is kinda amazing.
I'd shake hands, offer a dinner and the best wine from my family to all the people in CDProjekt for their spectacular job.
Feeling that lucky about getting the review copy, I felt obliged to buy another, as a gift to my 2 years younger brother, a policeman, but a passionate RPG gamer as myself, which couldn't play The Witcher 2 for PC on his poor notebook, but will be able to do it on his Xbox now

Expect to find my review online soon, but not too soon unfortunately I'll have to cut time through work!
PS: I don't know if I have the liberty to post the text from the email, but they didn't mention any obligation about the review, nor deadline, just that they'd love us to spread our impressions along all our social channels, might they be on the internet, or colleagues, friends, etc and so far I've just claimed a couple of "victims" at work

Hey Tyran, you seem cool, site's good too, and you'll prob make a good review, but two little things.
First your new avatar is much better than the old but the black and white makes me constantly avert my eyes to it and potentially the post.
Also... why does a PS3 background have to be in your new website background? Why not something else <.<.

Congratulations to the lucky 1000 Followers of the White Wolf" (or those people who have no clue what The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition for Xbox 360 even was but managed to stuble onto a link somewhere after typing in something like "monsters and sorceress I can sleep with" in any reg. search engine!)
Truly does speak volumes for a company like CDProjektRed to be as devoted to it's fans as it is to it's projects.
Perhaps all these developers that are monkey half-assing their products on rushed releases, phoned in DLC content and some such could take a field trip and take notes on how to be a real abso-f***kin'-lutely awesome company again.
On a couple of side notes/inquires: 1) Wouldn't it be cool if everyone that at least submitted an appl. to try and be a reviewer, at least got a "consolation- sorry you were not selected- prize".. like the wolf medallion necklace, keychain or even sticker? yeah.. joygasim.. that would be cool..
Also, for those that did receive an email, was the actual "text" portion of the email "whited out" or hidden, and you had to scroll over it (you know, like those old decoder whatca-ma-nuts that needed those red thing-a-mu-f**ks to read!) and reveal that you were selected? Just curious..

Looking forward to getting the chance to review! A question to any REDs, do you guys know how shipping is being handled? There were no shipping trackings given in the email or much indication of when they'd arrive other than "soon". My neighborhood has had some mail tampering lately and I'd like to know if I should have a neighbor keep their eye out on my porch for me in case i'm not home when it arrives.
