If you play ale of ancestor together with a dwarf marauder, you are getting 14 points of value. If opponent does not play weather after this to counter the effect, it starts to snowball after this. So it is like a gambling your not having a weather casting card, and even if he does, if you counter that gamble, at least you got 14 points.
Then you have to consider that Ale of Ancestors also removes hostile weather effects, so even if you are losing value for having to wait, if you are suspecting a weather play from your opponent, the lost value for waiting could be countered with the value of removing the harmful weather (and adding a boon for the few turns remaining after your wait).
So maybe just boosting a bit the Ale of Ancestor body value would be enough to increase its playing rate?
