River Ward - Stuck

River is stuck standing in the stairs at Joss's trailer. This is my third playthrough, and I know he is usually sitting on the stairs and interactable. I have tried uninstalling mods. I have reinstalled the game. I have tried doing the date fix, but nothing works. Additionally, I cannot use the bed or mirror in the room, despite having completed the romance questline. So I am out of ideas on how to fix this. Anyone?

Realistically, you can't fully uninstall your mods from an ongoing save file. Once they've been applied and you saved your game, that save file is altered forever.

In fact, you may be making things worse for yourself by removing/deactivating your mods as your game is now looking for data that is no longer available.

You could try using CET commands to force things but that can have unexpected effects too. If you'd manage to trigger things anyway. There are guides out there on how to do this.

You could try loading a previous save and hope that it works this time.

There isn't much you can do at this point to be honest.

You could also go through every one of your mod's pages looking at the comments to see if one of them is known to cause this. Deactivating that particular mod and going back to an earlier save might do it.

If all of that fails, I'm afraid the only option would be to start over on a clean install and either remain vanilla or be very careful with the mods you add.

I see. Well I am 100+ hours in so restarting is not really an option. Guess he will have to stay embedded in his stairs. That being said I thought we were supposed to be able to use the house objects after making a romance official?
