What if Rockerboys were melee specialists with an offensive sound frequency weapon that caused disorientation and damage and had bonus in speech?
Just an idea...

I'm sorry, but jesus no...please kill this role.
The could know how to hit the brown note...
Actually, disregard all that... please... no silly shit in the game... please
Okay, I just saw this and there is like a split second of someone who looks like they're DJing, but the entire vibe is badass and definitively something I can see developing in a HipHop culture with a Cyberpunk setting
I confess to wanting to play a Rockerboy, and maybe even a Media, more because there are plenty of games where I can be the role of a "Solo" just fine.
And the idea of what kind of new gameplay elements someone can incorporate into Cyberpunk 2077 around these roles would be interesting.
Personally, I like Rockerboy. It's technically the true punk.
The trick is to not portray Rockerboy as goofy big-hair bands like Guns and Roses. Those are fun for a few chuckles, but quickly gets old.
Tupac was a rockerboy.
looking like Bon Jovi rejects...
I have a hard time envisioning how the game mechanics would work well for the Rockerboy as a SP entity
They are more a support role than a main character role IMO
They have some good moves but overall fall short of being able to survive without their Solo bodyguards , techies to keep the instruments and soundboards working and a good Fixer to capture their next gig for them
I'm sorry, but jesus no...please kill this role.
"Hey! Bon Jovi is cool... on occasion!" - Dean Winchester.
The longer I think about this, the more I'm convinced there should be no class split in the game. They should do it like in W2, where you're free to choose your path through the skill tree rather than be constrained by any initial choices. Make the original classes into perks you can pick at the beginning of character creation and let player go from there. I don't think anyone would mind "Rockerboy - you get +1 to Influence tests" as much as having an actual Rockerboy in the game.
However, really the best way to approach a Rockerboy, is from behind.
