Rogue AI DLC teased for Patch 1.3?! [General patch speculations]

+
Not sure about dlc release or content,but 99% sure that the casino reference is because its your target at Crystal Palace (steal a list of customers if my aging memory is not failing).

Yeah I know. But it's pretty obvious with the collision physics that were present even in December that this was a place that you could visit.

Maybe there's going to be a soft rework in that specific ending where you go in this grand journey to help Mr Blue Eyes and enter to casino to do mission for him, and then followed up with Crystal Palace heist, something new and interesting happens and that's another entire new story that opens up.

Potentially other different endings like going with Panam with the tank you're going to get a totally different area unlocked and they have their own struggles that you can solve, perhaps you get to be a part of a bigger military that goes into corporate war... and other "ending" with Johnny taking over your body and leaving on a bus, maybe you get to go to Las Vegas and start a new life as a rocker boy. Things don't however go as smoothy and something happens.

I would hope this could be one way they could expand the game, rather than being linear experience, you're getting pumped with a lot of these DLC expansions to each new ending. Perhaps even offering entirely new lifepaths (which I've speculated in some earlier topic) where you could meet lets say Law officer and end up in Trauma team or NCPD, doing missions there and then cracking down the corruption in far more detailed story in the end while some paths with the original story would collide.

Maybe I'm ignorant, but I don't see the relation between this building (casino) and the Crystal Palace, except that it is apparently a casino :)
Knowing that the Crystal Palace is a space station orbiting around the earth : "The Crystal Palace, your Paradise in the Space".

Edit :
To explain my reasoning a little :)
Yes it is a casino, yes it will certainly be used for something. Yes CDPR probably not created this building for nothing. But to say that it is related to "The path of Glory" , Mr Blue eyes and Rogue AIs, simply because it is a casino, that would make as much sense as :
- See an unreachable bar with some neon lights and say to yourself that it is certainely related to the Mox and Judy.
- See a handful of tents in the Badlands and say to yourself that it is certainly related to The Star ending and Panam.

I only see something really clear. They are working hard, testing on steam every few days. You really want to know what the next good news will be about Cyberpunk 2077. There are so many good stories to enjoy in this city, along with the improvements in AI, physics, interactions with the npcs, etc. Stay strong, we believe in your talent !!!!

During some conversations with Silverhand I had the impression that it was really Alt pulling the strings being Johnny just an iconic puppet inside my mind. It may be true that there really is a war that we have hardly heard about between negative and positive AI. It would be very interesting to know much more about those power struggles in Night city. The Voodoo boys have a lot to say in this game.

Another build just right this morning

Could this mean they are really just patching up the build and 1.3 could happen this week?

Last time I've seen this rapid update schedule was in days before 1.2... so this seems rather odd if this pace of updates was still month away from release.

The development team wants to show us a new step in the repair work of Cyberpunk 2077 shortly. Thank you, thank you and thank you !!!! They are very active testing, there is certainly little left to hear from their news.

I don't think you're seeing the whole picture.

Of course I wouldn't suggest something without a connective tissue, and in this case it's the reference by Mr Blue Eyes himself where he states that Casino surveillance is gone down and you need to get some information (stolen?) from the Casino before you enter into Crystal Palace.

This is nothing like "Oh I found a bar and it's clearly related to Mox and Judy because it's a bar", this is something that was referenced.

It's more like if I found a bar which Judy has mentioned that has it's own name, and that bar also is something already discovered by people using some cheats or clipping through terrain to get there. Then wouldn't it be rational to make claims about that bar being a part of upcoming DLC content?

Similarly there are people who've used the Crystal Palace itself and edited it to appear above Night City. There's a lot of detail created for something that just briefly exists for a specific cutscene. The scale is exactly as described by the details of the Crystal Palace, which is little below 2km in diameter.

So I wouldn't be in crazytown to assume that this could be part of some future content, where you're spending perhaps up to 6-12 hours of accomplishing different missions and meeting new people. Of course the Casino and Crystal Palace designs would be more akin to what the apartments are, where majority of doors are not accessible.

They already created all the details with spacesuits and floating in space and 0 gravity physics for just the small piece of pamphlet before you put on your helmet. They already have advertised this Casino in marketing and there's already heavy details that exist in December release.

I'm not suggesting this is something that they however plan releasing now as it seems way big of an effort for a miniscule DLC, but it could be something that is coming in near future as expansion. My hunch just is that the rogue AI theory behind blue eyes got a more wind because of the background released in steam since this agency wasn't ever really brought up elsewhere in the story. This SEEMS to suggest that this is the way the first expansion will be heading, where Casino and Crystal Palace are the places to be, and of course cyberspace behind Blackwall and seeing the events unfold in Night City once this rogue AI gets a leg up.

If they just really want to throw us off, why stop just with 3 backgrounds? How about having pictures of that "5th corporate war" that is rumored to become, with futuristic tanks and military equipment. How about cool VR helmets and the people shooting at asteroids? Why the rogue AI out of all potential backgrounds they could've made?

Have you heard about the next update that should come during the months ? Someone found in the epic game store and steam store a new upcoming update of 38 Go that should arrive in the end of july or the begining of august. 38 Go, that's huge, hope it'll will improve the game and releases DLCs. I also Hope console players will get this update too.

Surely we will have news soon, there is work that requires much more time.

Essential basics that should see you soon are::

* Add physics to the water, the rain is wonderful but the water on the beach does not react to our actions and it is very sad. (to do action of splashing the water).

* Cinematics or real actions of eating or drinking in shops and restaurants. (They are already in the game and allow us to feel more real in our hours in the city).

* Positions when dying the most realistic npc. They die and stay in impossible positions ...

* Fix the attacks of the netrunners (there is a mod that has already fixed it).

* Fix the minimap when you drive (there is a mod that has already fixed it).

* Save your combination of clothes so you don't have to choose each garment every time you want to wear that combination.

* Kinematics or real actions when putting implants in ripperdocs (they only made one for viktor to run). These are very interesting moments and we do not have any experience within the ripperdocs clinics.

And on that immersion improvement we already have a game more prepared for the next future version:

* New random npc missions

* Improved AI

* Influence of your actions on the gangs of the city.

* Underground areas of the city, metro and public transport.

*Police records

* Apartment customization

* Purchase of new apartments

* Car modification

* Car racing with realistic AI.

* Take your girlfriend or boyfriend to your apartment to enjoy.

* That the game takes advantage of all the power of the pc and is not limited by the optimization of consoles.

* Live the city more intensely outside the missions.

I'm crying with emotion, I'm getting off the hype train now.

I've heard about that but all I've seen as proof is this guy said this and that.

Could be as much true as the rumor mill surrounding Nintendo Switch Pro, which was rumoured to be shown before e3, and then Switch OLED was released with just slightly larger screen.

PricklyAssassin could be just guessing and be right by accident. I for sure was predicting 1.3 over a month ago.

From the lack of large changes I assume they got a lot of staff is now working on future content, something like 75-80%. Hard to say what exact scale the DLC will take from the group that is working on new content, when they still rather be working on paid content expansion to really draw the players back... And then there is the multiplayer as well.

I certainly wish it were true but we don't have proof of any claim he's made in past shown to be true.

Of course they are going to be making large patches in future I have no doubt.

There's certainly some evidence (by CD Projekt themselves showing in roadmap) that DLC is going to be included in next update since it's kinda promised already before end of H1 and the roadmap didn't really push it much further.

Also like I pointed out the rogue AI background teased in Steam could indicate the direction game will be taking in near future.

What I find little strange is that their main quest designer didn't seem to be aware of the background even existing in the video clip I posted. Could this mean an accidental leak where this DLC was supposed to launch in time where 1.23 launched? Everyone was saying it was rather lackluster with not that many changes. And the background was introduced only couple days after 1.23.

With that in mind it could mean new quests, possibly given by Rogue (which was also hinted in 'Cyberpunk In Numbers', saying something about Rogue expanding the Afterlife).

You talk about this thread ?
> Cyberpunk in numbers
Because, I don't see anything about Rogue, Afterlife or whatever related. (again) It's seem to me, that you go a little fast in the work :)
And the plan is : "free" DLC before "next gen" update. So for me, no need to hope for a big DLC on AI, Rogue or big quests. It will be more like TW3 (little things).

I also found an article from a news outlet in my native language that also speaks of an imminent update late July or begin August.
Seems stuff is brewing below the surface. :)

If everything you said is coming, that would be a good news. I think water physics, more sidequests and game stabilization will come for sure, but taking the girlfriend, car and partment customization won't come for now (I hope I'm wrong).

Since the game is back on the playstation store ( end of June), It has become the most sold game during june and july, I'm sure it'll give them "strenght" to continue working on the game.

It's one of the best half-finished jobs ever done in the video game industry. It is mandatory to finish and expand it. It would be unforgivable to put this IP aside. They know all the improvements that I have listed (they are basic in a AAA game like this), it is time to follow the path and hit the table in a few months that they would have liked to give on 12-10-2020. The hype train also hurt CDPR, but the best part is that the game is still of great interest to the gaming community. The June and July sales continue to prove it. I have the game uninstalled with 200 hours played in a single story awaiting redemption.

Another build just went out

They've really-really sped up the builds this past week. It's pretty crazy actually.

Could this indicate possible release date for perhaps tomorrow?

Rapid pace of updates likely indicates that they're fine tuning whatever they added to the test servers and that there's more than just 1 single issue of fixes.

The tests are daily, it is clear that the new patch is coming and hopefully it is not just a mission bug fix because pc players have been waiting for something more for 7 months.

I don't know how to read this, I don't know what I am supposed this see in this, sorry :rolleyes:

Well, that is one way to look at it haha ;)
But yeah. I agree. I some funny way it mirrors Fallout in that, buggy, glitchy but somehow (in my case) forgivable with an acceptable level. But that is also because I think I've been lucky in the performance department and never faced very severe issues, specifically after 1.06

That picture was just to indicate that recent change was made in their test clients.

In steamDB you can see the amount of changes and 7 days ago there was way longer list of file changes, where these past 2 days the changes seem to be targeting 1 or 2 specific files. I'm not expert with Steam and I've never made games for it, so I don't know what exactly is to show what.

To me it seems like fine tuning something and fixing bugs on something that is to be released.

And I've been watching their steam builds for long time and whenever the pace of updates increases into just below 1 week there's patch out within 1-3 days... of course there could be expection to the rule.

1626270896969.png

Edit:

I discovered some additional information, when you hover over the Depot number, you see what I can guess a folder name where changes are made.

1626272535976.png

So the past 3 changes were made to folder "content" which likely means adjusting the source code.

In 7 days ago there was files added into Speech RU, Speech PL, Speech FR etc folders.

1626272498442.png

So likely more dialogues have been added into the game.

This could mean more quests or some extra details where you can make casual conversation with either the randomly generated NPC's or maybe the key characters in game like Judy or Rogue, or this could be quest talk in form of DLC quests... or it could of course be both or something different...

What is certain now is that Speech folders have been upgraded and there are some new lines being added.

Could be car modification as well, where they've basically added shops everywhere, and there's shop keepers that have their dialogues asking stuff like "What do you want, friend?"

I also review steam, but I have never done so much research. Thanks for your information!!! Excitement and expectation return

pc gamers have had a game without serious bugs, poorly optimized and unfinished. The big patch work has been more for consoles. I finished it in January with some sharp drop in fps and with Jackie's gun going through his head and Evelyn Parker's handbag going through his body :) But without major problems. We have been waiting 7 months for something new. And I understand that the pandemic and internal problems force us to be patient.
