Romance and Sex in The Witcher 3

For no reason whatsoever would sex be able to serve a purpose, otherwise porn would've been some sort of creative art.

Sex is part of being human and our life. I'm glad it's appearing in games like Witcher.

I'm sorry, It's just that i felt i was being treated as one, and the only way you guys where gonna get off my back was by self justification.

I mean every time i had seen something witcher related the word sex would be next to it, which lead me to believe that the game is like the movie "the wolf of wall street". I seriously thought it was like that.

Now I can find out first hand why this is the best RPG ever...

And like I said, the sex scenes are entirely OPTIONAL, and those sex scenes in Witcher 2 really do add to the story in a meaningful way and not in a "porno" way.

NOTE: I assume this is a mature community and I won't see kids bashing at me for "not being able to handle tits", even though I have seen that in other posts XD

I know this topic has probably been opened a gazillion times before by other people but I really don't understand why their are sex scenes in the game, I know CDPR had to include this because of the world that the games in and I respect that, however I'm sure that showing tits and actual sex has no affect on my immersion or understanding of the game. So why have it there?

If you really think that showing people this nudity is ok, some people don't; including me, and really the fact that you guys won't include a censor option after releasing 2 games in the series gives me the impression that you guys don't respect other peoples cultures, that's probably not true though.

Adding a censor option would really show me how open CDPR are to other cultures since in my culture full nudity and sex is only something which is done between couples, and unlike western countries isn't something which is seen on TV and media normally, I mean we don't even have night clubs.

I know they're skippable but some of them arenas such as opening seen in witcher, however that would result in me not being able to choose certain options which restricts my playability of the game.

I mean come on, the small indie game papers please had a nudity option which I respected A LOT, why can't you guys include it? Please?

Just felt like expressing my opinion, please add it in an update, I noticed on gog that you guys still update witcher 1 and 2, so please add it in next update and hopefully in witcher 3, gameplay looks fucking awesome for that game!!!!

At first I respect your opinion but nudity is part of the game because it's part of the original books.

You are right, nudity doesn't make a game mature, but a mature game allows nudity if you want it. Normally I would say an option would be nice (in the game Saboteur you could disable nudity). In the case of The Witcher a censocre option doesn't make much sense because as I said nudity is part of the style.

In our culture nudity and sex is normal in movies and other media and more and more in every day life like advertisement and so on. Censoring that nudity is what it says, censorship.

In videogames sex is a difficult topic and often not handeled maturely. But there are always cultures that see topic different than others.
In America you can see violence and blood on TV but if there is a bare breast everyone panics. In Germany gore is censored or banned, especiall in viedo games. But you can see bare breasts on early afternoon free TV shows.

That this differences are often ridicolous doesn't matter, every one should choos for himself what is ok for him and what not. That's what I think maturity is.
But this also includes to accept media and art created by others in that way they wanted it to be.

In the case of The Witcher, you and others, sharing your oppinion have to options, skip the scene or dont consuming The Witcher.
I dont want to offend you, I can understand that you have this opinion because of your cultural background, thats just a hint how to deal with it.
