If I kissed Triss at the ball will it affect the romance with Yen? Or only if I plough Triss it will have an effect?

As far I know you will not effect the Yen romance if you kiss triss. But the Kiss is needed if you want romance triss.

But if you have sex with her after telling her that you loved her prior to her leaving Novigrad, you're in the romance. If you happen to also did Yen's quest than you're in for the scene that ends... unpleasantly for you.

What the above posters said. You can still kiss Triss but don't tell her you love her when she is about to leave Novigrad.
