Royal Palace in Vizima - Gwent game

Hello,
I met a guy who want to play a gwent game with me, but i cannot win. I don't know how he can has those +10 cards and my strongest one is +6 .. Is it even possible to win vs him ? I tried to play like 5 times, but I lost every damn time, because of those cards. Q.Q

It was very easy for me. What cards do you have in your deck currently? Did you spend any time developing your gwent deck at all before playing him?

You can always just return there and play him so it's okay. If you can't do it just try getting some better gwent cards first.

Well, I just have basic cards and I wasn't buying any gwen cards from merchants yet. I thought i wasn't necessary and i will be getting gwen cards from beating my opponnents :x

But if I can go back there - no problem then i will collect some cards and beat this guy. Thanks for the reply ! ^^

PS: Do you have any advices for the beginner? Such as -> can i sell all my stuff from "Junk page" (means I don't need them or better to destroy them and get some alchemy/blacksmith stuff?) and what should i master first in skill and so on.

im guessing you just started the game and just left white orchard? dont bother yet (its doable if you got all the cards white orchad has to offer especially the 3 decoys) I recommend playing a bit in velen win and buy some cards and then go back to him (you can fast travel to vizima any time you want you dont need to do it when there is a quest there) you ll beat him easily afterwards. In my first playthrough I beat him way later in the game in the second I beat him first time I got there since I knew gwent strategies well

Indeed I just left white orchard and didn't buy any gwent cards at all - I thought first battle at gwent would be easy so .. :x But if I can go back there - no problem then ! I will collect some cards and then complete the quest ^^
And by the way - do you have any advice for the beginner like me ? (Because you finished your game once)
