Rpgs

+
well i hope we will see some cool rpgs this year like mass effect, arcania: a gothic tale (aka gothic 4), fallout 3, and of course the witcher enhanced edition. mass effect should be out in a few days i think.

Out side of Mass effect I'm also having a hard time finding a new game to replace TW till the EE comes out LOLso what I did was went back to some of my old game that I have not played in a while and just replayed them right now I'm just playing around with Prince of Persia warrior within till some new rpg come out that I know I will like. lol think I mite go to the game store next weekend and see what they got in the bargain bin

My ISP site has hundreds of demos for download. http://www.gamearena.com.au/downloads/browse.php/1/1/date/?p=1Good to try some when you're bored. Also see this thread. http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=11628.0And maybe this one. http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=8451.0

If you haven't already, play "Planescape: Torment", the original "Deus Ex" and "System Shock 2". For a more recent game you might want to have a look at "Stalker - Shadow of Chernobyl".Personally I look forward to Mafia 2 and really, really hope it delivers.

At the risk of sounding like a fanboy (that's something like 12387463th time I'm recommending this game here), try an oldie from BlueByte: "Albion". Similar to "The Witcher" in some ways, has a good character-driven storyline, a rich and incredibly detailed world to explore, and nice gameplay mechanics with that. One word of warning, though - it's as far from action RPG as you can get.I'm also waiting for "Mass Effect" PC, which I hear is gonna be epic.Right now, I can't really think of any game similar to "The Witcher" that hasn't been recommended here, but I'll tell you if I remember anything ;) Go dig roung oldie sites, I'm sure you'll find something.Oh, and if you can't think of ANY games to play... You can never go wrong with the "Monkey Island" series :D

Personally I had a lot of fun playing BioShock after The Witcher. Not sure if you've tried that one, or if you're into shooters. But it's truly fantastic. Story is awesome too.

thanks for the advice going for mass effect when it appears. I`ll also try planescape torment.Just to show my age I played monkey island on the Amiga. :)

Wow, thanks for the link to your ISP site. I've found a few to check out!

Whew, I thought I was the only one who couldn't find any other interesting games after the Witcher. All the other games I used to play before The Witcher now seem rather dull. I played Neverwinter Nights 2 for a while after I finished The Witcher like five times. I bought Assassin's Creed but the combat seems so damn complicated so I havn't really given it a fair try.

Try painkiller Overdose.It's a simple,relaxing game ;)

I have CoD4, Crysis, and every Half-Life game released. I'm well-set on FPS. I'm just lacking the RPG area. I'm thinking of putting good ol' BG2 SoA back in.

What about Assissin's Creed? I haven't played it but it gets pretty good ratings.
Too short and too easy, typical console port.Good fun though walking through the streets attacking random strangers.

I recommend the original Baldur's Gate, and BG2Never saw what the fuss was about Planescape....just boringThe CSI games are good too....FEAR is awesome, so is BioshockYou call also look at Gothic 3, its not as bad as people make out

Before I played TW, I thoroughly enjoyed playing Guild Wars, I played that to death, was an officer in my guild, and put a lot of time and effort into it, now it's boring lol, I'm waiting for GW2 but I don't think that's out till next year. Before that I played Diablo 2 (alot) and another RPG called Dungeon Seige 2, that was very good + a whole bunch of other games lol. Can't wait for the mod on June 13th.Oh btw, does anyone know whether or not The Last Wish book is going to be released in Australia?

Personally, I'm looking forward to the debut of Spore.
Yeah, if it ever happens
I actually canceled my pre-order of Spore because of the draconian copy protection that's going to be coming with it -- it's getting to where gamers don't actually own the game, even once we've bought it. I have never stolen a game; harass the pirates, not me!

I don't understand the fuss about the copy protection on Spore or Mass Effect. I buy games, install them, play till I'm bored then uninstall. At most I will need to install on three machines when I replace my old ones, and by then the games are re-released as white label varieties for bog all cash anyway, so whatever!
