Rune swords and the effects

I have been wondering, since I can't seem to find any information on this, and I'm not sure how to test it, that somebody here had the answer. Which combinations of runes is the best??? And what is better? Percentage damage improvement or damage "based on combat style"?I have been wondering this, because I have considered getting a better runesword, what I have right now is my trustful runesword (two earth and one sun rune http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Rune_swords). I was wondering if I should change it to something with sensitivity to silver, but I don't really know what that does to be honest. If somebody could give me some tips and guide me about these questions that would be GREEAT! ;D Thanks :peace:

Well...its a personal choice as to what runes you use to forge your silver sword. Many a time i've gone for pure damage improvement (3 earth) and sometimes a blend (2 earth, 1 moon).Really if you've still haven't reached Act IV yet, you could just go for something which will increase damage, but include what ever little extras you want.If you're in Act IV, finish the Lady of the Lake quest and get Aerodight - it'll last you to the end of the game.I believe sensitivity to silver lowers the creatures abilitity of resist damage to your silver sword, where increasing the damage works to increase the overall damage possible.

As there is no wrong or right in the game there is no the best either  Sensitivity to silver applies to all supernatural creatures whereas some of them are resistant against critical effects like Knockdown, Incineration or Blinding. You also have various possiblities to buff your silver blade with temporary enhancements which you can adjust to those monsters you will encounter.

I think the question here is how does Sensitivity work vs. a flat damage increase. For example, what's the difference, when fighting a creature sensitive to silver, between a +30% damage bonus and a +30% Sensitivity to Silver bonus? My apologies for posting on an old thread, but it's the question I have, and I don't see it answered anywhere else.
