Sapkowski wins Gemmell Award

I'm personally surprised at the outcome. No offense to Sapkoski's writing, but the English translation of Blood of Elves seems awkward to read at places. I was expecting Abercombie or Sanderson to win. I have a feeling Blood of Elves only won because the winner was decided by a global vote, and the Witcher books are far more popular worldwide than any other entry.
