Save files keep disappearing

Hello, first time writing here, so if it's not the right location for this thread, please move it.

I am a PC user and I need help regarding my save files. Yesterday I noticed my save files (auto saves, quick saves, manual saves) has gone. I searched the internet for it and not found any solution for that. I played again for about 6 hours, saved many times with quick saves and manual saves. Today I launched the game and once again all of my yesterdays save files were gone. AGAIN. I really got frustrated and I have no idea how to fix it, there is no known solution to this. I want to play this game, but I am afraid my progress will be deleted again and I don't want that. What the hell am I doing wrong? How do I prevent my save files from disappearing??

Are you on PC, and do you have over 1100 saves? Last January, I experienced a weird limit that past 1100 saves, game wasn't saving anything. I had to clear the folder, start from the latest save and rename it to ManualSave-1. That allowed me to continue to save games.

Hi,
It's just a guess, but assuming you're on PC, it's likely something due to cloud sync because the game doesn't remove save files by itself. Try to disable cloud save feature if it's enabled.

Yes, I am on PC, Steam. I will try to disable Steam Cloud. I just found out that sav.dat files are not updating when saved. Deleted bunch of save files, maybe it will help.

Strangely, it's not even above 8MB limit.

Yes, and when you will create a new save, check in the save folder if the save is actually here just in case
%userprofile%\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\
