Save games unavailable

After some manual cleaning of files on my pc, I apparently deleted some Witcher files that prevent TW2 from importing my saves. TW1 is still installed and the save game files are still there, I even downloaded some save games from nexus ( Kindo's file) and put them in the save game file in my Witcher folder. Still doesn't work.

Halp pleeze. :(

The Witcher 2 will automatically import the saves from the end of the first Witcher game only if they are located in the default folder:...\My Documents\The Witcher\saves
But, of all the files located there, only "Ice Plains" and "Order of the Flaming Rose Cloister" are imported.

Importing savegames also requires a file called "w1import.dll".
In case of an error with a broken or missing w1import.dll file, please download it from the following location: ftp://ftp4.cdprojekt.com/pub/pl/wiedzmin2/Patch/w1import.dll.
The file should be placed in the bin folder in The Witcher 2 install location, which by default is:
C:\Program Files\The Witcher 2\bin for 32-bit systems
C:\Program Files (x86)\The Witcher 2\bin for 64-bit systems

All this can be verified, along with further troubleshooting guides at: http://www.en.thewitcher.com/support/

I checked and confirmed w1import.dll is in my TW2 bin folder. And I have a \my documents\witcher\saves folder as well. This is weird.

Well, I found the following method on GoG Forum, and it has been reported to work by many users:

The problem seems related to the quest " The Ashes of Vizima" in TW1 that stuck in a previous state also if it's completed, making the savegame not detected, i presume cause the Witcher 2 check if that quest is completed to determine if it's importable or not.

So, download The Witcher Editor, backup the save you want import, open it in TWEditor and check in the "Quest" label, if you have saved for example in the Ice Plains or after killing the Grand Master the quest "The Ashes of VIzima" should be completed ('cause you complete it entering in the cloister), if it's in the "started" quest, your savegame would not be detected.

At this point you could try two different things:

a) Load a previous savegame, for example at the beginning of the Epilogue or just before the Zeugl fight and complete the game again, hoping that quest don't bugs itself again.

 You have to make some tricky work with the Witcher Editor

-b1) Download a savegame that's being detected.
-b2) Open it in TWEditor, "unpack" it in a directory
-b3) Make a backup of YOUR savegame (if you have not done yet)
-b4) Open it in TWEditor and "unpack" it in a directory (DON'T Close TWEditor YET!)
-b5) Copy the file "q6001_wyzim.qst" from the the unpacked WORKING savegame
-b6) Paste and overwrite the one in YOUR savegame UNPACKED directory ( b4)
-b7) "Repack" your savegame (using TWEditor) and Save.
-b8) Load YOUR savegame in The Witcher, check if it's working then SAVE IT
-b9) Exit the game, Launch TW2 and your savegame should be detected.

Granted that it seems complicated, but this is the fastest available resource I could get on a short notice.

EDIT: I've edited THE WITCHER EDITOR link, so if you haven't already, please refresh the page.
