Save import - Letho is dead

I think the Letho choice, regarding whether you let him live or kill him in witcher 2 is not being imported.

Back in witcher 2, after the dialogue with him I was immediately kicked in the epilogue with only an autosave made right at the very end. Thing is the save import from witcher 3 only recognises manual saves and the best I got was the one right before talking to him. Now I expected that I would be asked about that choice in particular, right before meeting the emperor and I could specify then that I didn't kill Letho, but it didn't happen and the game assumed letho was dead.

Since I loved the character, and that choice is the only choice I care about from my save file, I can't continue playing like this. I will have to start the game all over again with a simulate save, where I get asked about the choices I previously made, rendering all my save files and about 30 hours of current gameplay worthless.

So, to avoid that, does anyone know I can modify my choices or world states from a config file, xml or the sort? I just presume choices that were either imported from a save or made during the game are being stored somewhere and I hope it gets down to changing a variable like LethoAlive = true.

The same problem on my side. I picked the save before meeting Letho in Loc Muinne. But You are wrong about that game doesn't recognise autosave. It does, but arrenges it alphabetically and u missed it, as I did. But I have one more quesiton to this topic. Do other choices from Witcher 2 (apart from Letho lives or dies) moved properly? Or any one moved and the world is like in unsimulated option?

EDIT: And I was sure too that general will ask me about this Letho :p.

Well, current saves should contain information about the world state, storing them in variables or the sort, it's only that I can't open to read them as code or something intelligible and modifiable.

Here's what I get: Hò}VL j VLc , and some other gibberish signs.

If anyone has a workaround on how to properly open the saves it would be welcomed.
