Saves PS5 corrupted

Please could you tell me if corrupted saves will be repair at least ? I would like to know soon as possible because if it's the case i lost 290+ hours ( all my saves are damaged... and i won't start again i'm done...) and then i can ask quickly as possible a refund to sony. Thanks

I am also really sorry for you and I can understand how you feel... it is unacceptable and unbelievable that such a huge and destructive bug was allowed to release in public. I dont know wth is going on with CDPR's quality assurance and control but something is off... The reason for this save corruption issue is absolutely baffling that it exists to begin with... save file size? Really? The thought never crossed their mind? And even so, if a save file crosses the limit it automatically becomes corrupted? This can be prevented in so many ways that it is just sad.

I hope you were able to retrieve a working save via the cloud man. I really do. The fact that 300 hrs of your life were wasted like this is a pity...

Here is what I want to know. Has anyone experienced this issue with the save files corrupting in phantom Liberty on a jump started dlc character or a new game entirely? Just curious.

I made a new female V I'm done with prologue and several side missions all of Watson cleared all of city center cleared all of japantown cleared I'm working on Heywood now. No save file corrupted as of yet. Haven't started dlc.

Today I started the mission Firestarter and after I got flatlined, the game wouldn't reload anymore, I continuously get a "Save file got corrupted" message.

ALL my autosaves are corrupted and also my manual save in 2.0

I have spent at least 30 hours playing the DLC and it seems everything is gone.

As per CDPR statement, if all your saves are corrupted and you dont have a working one, then you are unfortunately screwed :/

I am sorry it happened to you... I barely saved more than 300hrs of progress by having just 1 working save thankfully...

Check out if you have any working saves in cloud storage. I hope you do. This bug is nuts and the more CDPR delays the fix the more people are going to find out the hard way...

Wow, I guess that I'm just glad that CDPR put a clear message on the start menu of the game and in the "News" on the PS home screen, warning everyone of the ongoing PS5 save corruption problem; otherwise, I would not have found this thread until I lost my 170hr+ save files to a known issue that was not communicated effectively. So lucky to have supported a team that is capable of relaying time-sensitive info as well as they advertise. /s

I went ahead backed up my character to the cloud and disabled cloud syncing. So if my saves get corrupted I can delete them all along with the game and dlc and do a rebuild database another cache clear then reinstall them take my saves off the cloud. This bug can't possibly effect my cloud saves of I'm not connected to it when it happens. I'm fine with losing some progress but a whole character would make me very angry.

I meant to say that all my saves from the DLC are corrupted, fortunately I was able to load a non DLC save yesterday, however right now I am afraid to do anything, even start the game up, cause don't want to screw anything else. Wish they would have warned us somehow when this issue first came to light.

Now any activity I do in Dogtown, even a simple firefight save is corrupted. But if I stay in NC and play outside of Dogtown, no problem. While waiting for patch 2.01, has anyone found any solution to continue playing? Thank you all,

Well I have to ask you did you start fresh with 2.0 or is this an old save file from previous patch?

Be more specific. Did you start fresh new character and try to play the dlc? Maybe try that first then tell me if you have corruption. I and many others think it's the old save games having the issue. Id like to know that but there's no way of knowing but to test it out on a new character. I know that sucks. Believe me.

This is a save from 1.65. I haven't started the game again, but up until that mission I had no problems, given that I often clean up the automatic saves and keep the manuals.

Unfortunately I had to stop, I've been hoping for the release of patch 2.01 for 2 days already. I prefer not to risk corrupting my saves, I've been playing Cyberpunk since it came out and I have around 1400 hours of gameplay and at least 7 different characters... it's disconcerting that I can't use my saves for a bug like this. I hope they fix it, I'm not going to start over if I'm not sure they've fixed the problem.

Okay I don't know what you mean by clean up the auto saves maybe you could teach me one there as far as I can tell the game forces you to live with the world's worst auto saves imaginable. Try to start a jump started dlc character spec into cool and technical and a bit into intelligence so you can at least hack a camera or whatever and try to play the dlc low level see if it corrupts man as a test. Then come back to us let us know. If I had more time I'd do it.

While waiting for patch fixes, I also decided to delve into the new perks, implants, and skills within the original game area, trying not only to avoid entering DogTown but even staying away from the Pacifica zone.

And now, while awaiting patch 2.01, my saves made within Night City itself have started to become corrupted. So, be cautious and refrain from overwriting save files.

P.S. A special thanks to the developers who prioritize a smooth DLC release so much that they are hesitant to send out a warning about an issue that could potentially wipe out players’ entire game progress. It’s quite clear where the company’s priorities lie.

By cleaning up the saves I mean... while you play it creates several saves automatically, as soon as an important activity is finished you save manually and delete the previous ones generated automatically.

I completely agree, I believe that the situation is quite unstable and I don't risk corrupting other rescues.

As I was saying, it is disconcerting that such a long-awaited DLC comes out with such a significant problem... it may be a game but after so many hours spent creating a good level, risking losing everything is very annoying.

I hope at least they are quick to release a fix

What I find odd is that they won’t be fixing the corrupted save data. So many people have all of their saves corrupted meaning they’d have to start over, including me. I have over 200+ hours in the game and cried when I saw that my files were corrupted. I want them to fix that issue too, for me and for everyone struggling with it.

Well it's most likely not a question of "won't" and more a question of "can't".

Fixing bugs is one thing. Fixing bugs that have already taken effect is a whole other thing and there is just no telling how badly your save data got mangled by this.

I remember that the PS4 had the same issue back in the very beginning, they fixed that too (the corrupted saves) as far as I remember

They did warn you they clearly told you to start your character over again.

Create new V and have a good time. You guys get too attached to a character it's just a save file. I made one when 2.0 dropped and I'm level 44 already. You can do it. It's not the end of the world. Heck you can even skip ahead to level 20 now. A jump start last a lot of the main story of you want to.
